I like how any time someone agrees with Trump and doesn't agree with the demosofts the response is: You don't understand politics. Get informed!

I think the dems understand politics too well. You can't spell politically correct without politics. The time to sugarcoat things is over. It's time to take our country back. Either get on board or get out of the way.
If you hadn't written the same ol' hyperbole that we are all tired of hearing and you had written something regarding actual policy maybe people would believe you knew a little about politics.

the Conservative press has been pushing their base towards more and more extreme positions the past eight years and that allowed for someone with a message like Trumps to capitalize on the hate and fear they pushed.

Which "extremes" would those be exactly? Wanting to protect freedom of speech? Wanting to protect our god given right to self defense of our self, family and country? Which extreme positions are you talking about exactly?

Fox News drills the dumbest woman in camp Trump. I don't know how people live with themselves being so intellectually dishonest. He doesn't want to release his tax returns because it will expose him either paying nothing in taxes or showing his wealth is a fraction of what he claims. He's a coward.

I agree. I also think he should release transcripts of any speaking engagement where he made many thousands, if not millions of dollars. I also want to see his financials for his charitable organizations that are essentially "pay to play", because Hillary has done that.

Oh wait, no, she hasn't. She's lied, obfuscated, destroyed emails and more.

You really think her tax returns mean ANYTHING to those of us that have watched the hearings on the IRS going after conservative groups? Purportedly at the behest of obama?

Trump sucks, he out and out sucks. Probably the worst choice this country has seen since Bush 2, but at least he's not a traitor to our country.

How is Hillary a traitor? Support it with facts.

Trump has given many a "speech" for big business yet there are no cries to release those. Why not?

Not going to touch the conspiracy theories. I don't have the engergy to. Just Calle me Hillary.

Is Trump making everyone around him dumber?

I wasn't planning on drinking today, but I need one to deal with reading this.

*if you are a white christian male

fixed.

Needed that asterisk in there.

Also lulz at Republicans wanting to protect freedom of speech.

The only constitutional amendment Republicans have cared about in the last 40 years is the 2nd amendment.

Attack anything else, they don't give a s***.

Hell, even trump has has said he wants to make laws against freedom of speech and Republicans ate it up lol.

This is how I rank them...

Trump I like a little better than Cosby who I still like a little better than Hitlery...

Seems like Stein's VP pick is as big of a piece of s*** as Trump.

On Holocaust denier Kevin Barrett's podcast, this started happening around the 40 minute mark.

Barrett: "The Jews did 9/11, they'll probably launch a nuclear strike in the United States and blame it on jihadists."

Baraka (Green Party running mate): "There's probably a false flag coming, true."

Barrett: "Not sure that the American will actually believe that the Jews didn't do it this time though."

Baraka: "Listen, Barrett, the American people were stupid enough to believe that Assad gassed his own people."

Barrrett: "It's true, but the media is better now. The media used to pretend that Iranian leaders were wrong about the Holocaust."

At the 27 minute mark:

Barrett: "Pretty suspicious that the Jews all left the WTC, probably because the Jews did the 9/11 right? Jews do all the false-flag attacks, right?"

Baraka: "I mean, the U.S. intelligence created the notion of 'conspiracy nuts'"

18 minute mark:

Barrett: "This notion of 'Holocaust' is used to make the Allies seem heroic."

Baraka: "I mean, mythology is a powerful tool."

21 minute mark:

Barrett: "The US says that if you think the CIA did 9/11, you're a potential terrorist! I guess I'm a potential terrorist!"

Baraka: "A lot of us are terrorists *laughs*"

Nope people are just f***ing dumb.

I'm also more of an observer like you. I just see Trump as incredibly dangerous, similar like when the Brexit vote passed and it gave people over there the feeling of justification and right to harass people of different descents.

We have to be careful not to be sold so easily to certain narratives. If you are racist or xenophobic, naturally, you will be for the party that is less globalism, more nationalist and anti-immigration. The mistake is to fall into the narrative that because people vote BRExit, this means they are all racist and xenophobia. Most people on either side just vote what they think best for the country.

Hillary is a traitor? Is this the new conspiracy crap that's being shoveled?

  • They're coming to get our guns
  • Christians are being persecuted in the US
  • Whites are being persecuted in the US
  • The gays are pushing their agenda
  • Obama is a Muslim
  • Hillary Clinton killed people
  • Hillary Clinton is responsible for Benghazi
  • Immigrants are out to get us
Take your pick. The Conservative media have been pushing an agenda of hate and fear for the last 8 years towards Democrats and they reaped what they sowed. They now have enough of a core base that bought into the snake oil Donald Trump was selling in order for him to win the primary and are now more than likely going to get smoked by historic margins because of it.

I don't have a problem with disagreeing with your political opponent and their views on things, but the vitriol being spewed has turned things really nasty the past few years. That has translated into pure hatred. I've never seen people so angry and I blame the media for that. You now have people who outright hate the other side, to the point that they can't even be friends with people who believe something other than what they do. People have had these news storied fed to them with such frequency that they no longer question whether or not what they believe is right and they are completely certain of it to the point that they actually believe that the other side is evil or trying to destroy the country. That is dangerous in my opinion.

They're consistent with the message: anything that happened in the Bush Presidency that was bad was Obama's fault. Invasion of Afghanistan, 9/11, destroyed economy, the debt (though to be fair, while Bush did go back to the Reaganomics theory of cut taxes and double the debt, Obama's administration hasn't made progress away from that) - thanks, Obama! I presume it was Bush's leadership that got Osama as well, just to keep the narrative clear - it's a Quantum Break presidency where timelines don't matter, just if you hate something, it's Obama's fault.

It's time to take our country back. Either get on board or get out of the way.

See, the thing is, these are the United States of America. We have elections. The results of those elections determine who fills the various legislative and executive roles in the government. Elections speak, and apparently it's not YOUR country. I know it must sound amazing, but the number of people who have been fed the "conservative" media for decades preaching hate of everyone who isn't a heterosexual white Christian and that the one true God is the tax cut is somehow not enough to overcome the majority of voters who simply aren't engaged in the same open delusion.

You know, unless you're Native American - they would have a real point about taking *their* country back, but ironically they're too non-white to be part of the "conservative" movement.

(I put conservative in quotes because a distressingly large number of the people who claim to be conservative are more just anti-whatever Fox/Hannity/Rush tells them they're agin' and for whatever they tell them they're for, independent thought be damned.)

While not directed at me, I do find it funny that you're acknowledging the First Amendment by discussing freedom of speech. What part(s) of that Amendment do you think might be violated if, say, the government enacts a set list of religions that are approved for immigrants or visitors to the country?

I'm not sure in what language 8 means "over two decades" but other than that minor typo, I think I agree pretty fully with the entirety of the post.
