Been too long since I've posted here. Trump continues to do my work for me.
A few trump supporters have been banned here because of non-sensical ramblings, being dishonest, ignoring legit questions posed to them, and then just only popping up to troll.

Sounds like our president. Who would have thought the dumbest people would be attracted to someone like themselves?

What's sad is that so many people have been told that the economy was garbage under Obama. Now suddenly their news outlets are allowing the positive economic news to flow and they think Trump is a genius.

Check out the stock market since 2009. The growth has been comically predictable through Obama's 8 years and Trump's short time. The growth is damn near a straight line throughout.

Jobs have been growing more or less the same. Trump has done nothing different for the economy. Actually, the president has a lot less impact on the economy than people think.

Anyway, Thanks Obama.

Just ask a Trump supporter to explain exactly which of his polices or actions are responsible for the economy doing well. I'm sure they can articulate exactly what he did.

They'd be wrong. Just like I wouldn't give Obama much credit either. Super low oil prices, relative peace all following a massive collapse. Oil prices more than anything have way more to do with the economy than anything else.

The last big impact a President had on the economy was the bailouts started by W and continued with Obama. Since then? Just get out of the way and let market forces work.

Only smart people are assassinated, everyone else is ok because we are playing the propaganda game. They like that.

I'm sick of these white apologists, if your skin color was so powerful. Than use it to change the world, ise it to change the world. Don't feel bad about ur skin color because if what someone did 100 years ago. That's stupid.

Patrice O'Neal "I'm gonna get killed for this but that's ok"

I know when he said that he was joking around, but he's dead now. So that's when it stops being jokes

Uh... you want to expand on that? Maybe go into a little more detail?

I think I know what you're trying to say say here, but it ignores a s***-ton of context. It's not about "feeling bad for your skin color", it's about trying to make the current system less discriminatory.

Edit: Honestly I have no idea what your position is. So my reply might be not be relevant.

First world privilege, where your smiling in every picture on Facebook, but chose to be upset because that the Facebook article you reAd used the wrong words.

You need to focus on a point here. First world privilege is obnoxious, I agree. So is being over-sensitive about Facebook words. But there's a difference between being offended by a word, and being offended by the intent.

Jokes are one thing, but then there's actual hate-speech and actual Nazis. There's clowning around on the internet, but then there's also remembering history. We can't blur those lines, right?

That's the big difference imo. I don't find any word offensive, until the intent behind it gives it power.

It was all sarcasm, if your skin color was all so powerful, than use it for the greater good.

Ok, I seen a video of some white dumb ass that was letting people smack him in the face for repercussions for slavery , he was young. In no way involved in slavery. But he obviously felt guilty about it.

I'm not sure I can explain I'm trying to say correctly, but if your feeling bad about ur skin color because of what someone did 100 years ago than you are too believe your skin is also powerful that you can stop the injustice in the world. Than if you are too believe that, why waste the time feeling bad about s*** you had no interaction with and waste energy to change s*** for the better.

In the end I'm trying to say , skin color doesn't matter any more.

Everyone are slaves , everyone is paying bull s*** taxs

We as Americans are so full of s***, we say we "hate" facisim. But we all buy phones that are made in a building that has suicide nets on the outside of Windows.

Alright, so my first instinct is to leave this conversation immediately. But I won't. I'll be honest, just like you.

Skin color matters in almost every situation in life, from getting a job, to marriage, to religion, to the media, to prison, to profiling, to music, to culture, to "the American Dream", to dancing, to countless f***ing things in this country and the world. If you don't believe that, you're trapped in a bubble.

What is your point here?

It's terrible that we buy iPhones that are made in a humanitarian nightmare. Yes. What do you suggest we do about it?

So, if you don't like Trump, you fall into the social justice warrior category. That's the Trump strawman.

Guess what? Lots of us hate Trump. Conservatives/republicans, libertarians, moderates, Democrats. Nearly 2/3 of the country don't approve of Trump. Lots of normal people hate Trump.

This is a really common tactic for Trump (and a lot of "political" arguments). Use the strawman and push everyone towards the extremist side. Do you really think 2/3 of the country are in antifa and/or left wing extremists?

Trump purposely pushes the racism button and has since day 1. Trump didn't cause all the racism problems in America, but he's fanned the flames to his own advantage. It is deplorable what he has intentionally done. At times Trump comes off as erratic, but he's been consistent on racism. He's clearly wanted to get the exact reaction he has.

Trump and the alt-right want you to believe there are only two sides, theirs or the extreme left. That's silly and dangerous.

I love this site that describes all the logical fallacies that often get misused in politics. All sides use them, but the alt-right is particularly effective at them.

https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/

Black and white is a common alt right one.

black-or-white
You presented two alternative states as the only possibilities, when in fact more possibilities exist.
Also known as the false dilemma, this insidious tactic has the appearance of forming a logical argument, but under closer scrutiny it becomes evident that there are more possibilities than the either/or choice that is presented. Binary, black-or-white thinking doesn't allow for the many different variables, conditions, and contexts in which there would exist more than just the two possibilities put forth. It frames the argument misleadingly and obscures rational, honest debate.

A great example is the wall. Are you for the wall? No? Then you are for totally open borders then! You MUST be. -> see the fallacy?

You'll hear some conservatives say this a lot - "you're either with us or against us". Obviously the US has a two party system, but that doesn't mean that in a country of 300mil+ that there's only 2 ways of thinking. I'm a lifelong independent. Neither party fits my views perfectly and as the parties shift along the political spectrum, I stay put.

For Trump supporters, you see a world that is becoming more and more extreme liberal. That's only because your news is filtered that way and that you're being pushed so far right. If you only see extremists, that is because you are on the opposite extreme.
