trump threaten to personally suspend NFL players without pay.....

I figured this was coming after last nights games. Today a local news station posted a story about it on FB and 90% of the reply’s are pro Trump let’s boycott the NFL or yes suspend them without pay replies. This is beyond annoying. I actually wish athletes across all sports would do it more and really stick it to this a**hole that just continues to stir the pot and keep his base fired up.

They need to stop playing the anthem at football games anyway, what does football have to do with being patriotic? Let alone the money wasted with fly overs for outdoor stadiums. I used to go to a lot of Charger games when they were still in San Diego and several times they had fly overs with military members parachuting into the stadium and trying to kick field goals while landing. Why allow a serviceman (they were all men so I'm not being sexist lol) to risk his life and spend all the money that it took to do that for an entertainment event?

The NFL thing is exactly what wins the deplorables over though sadly. I was driving behind a car with a bumper sticker "I proudly stand for the anthem".
As much as I totally respect someone's right to do it, it doesn't play well. This is what the alt right does - they put you in 2 camps - those that stand and those that kneel for the anthem.

So instead of seeing Manafort on the news in his prison jumper, you see NFL players kneeling (some of them aren't even during the anthem since apparently you can NEVER kneel anymore in America).

If I were the players I think I'd just stand for the anthem because they've sadly lost the narrative and the media totally focuses on if they kneel instead of why they do it, they should find another way to bring attention to their cause like using the time at the podium after a game to talk about it if and when something does happen. I fully support anyone not standing if they don't want to though, forced patriotism is not something anyone who values living in a "free country" should endorse, hell if it's forced it's not real anyway so what's the point?

Shocking I tell ya lol. Tax cuts were never going to lead to wage hikes across the board, taxes have gone up and down over the past few decades and wages have stayed stagnant for a reason, employees are looked at as a necessary evil by large corporations these days and not assets.

You ask the average person off the street why these athletes are kneeling they have no clue or care. They think it’s because they hate America or disrespecting the flag or veterans. Looks like the athletes lost this battle like you said no one is covering why they did it in the first place.

GOP Operative Made "Suspicious" Cash Withdrawals During Pursuit Of Clinton Emails

In one of the most intriguing episodes of the 2016 presidential campaign, Republican activist Peter W. Smith launched an independent effort to obtain Hillary Clinton’s emails to help defeat her and elect Donald Trump. His quest, which reportedly brought him into contact with at least two sets of hackers that he himself believed were Russian, remains a key focus of investigations into whether the Trump campaign colluded with the Kremlin.

Now, BuzzFeed News has reviewed documents showing that FBI agents and congressional investigators have zeroed in on transactions Smith made right as his effort to procure Clinton’s emails heated up. Just a day after he finished a report suggesting he was working with Trump campaign officials, for example, he transferred $9,500 from an account he had set up to fund the email project to his personal account, later taking out more than $4,900 in cash. According to a person with direct knowledge of Smith’s project, the Republican operative stated that he was prepared to pay hackers “many thousands of dollars” for Clinton’s emails — and ultimately did so.

The Wall Street Journal, which spoke with Smith about 10 days before he killed himself last year, broke the story about his operation to obtain Clinton’s emails and his alleged connections to Flynn. Smith’s obsession with the Clintons dates back at least to the 1990s, when he spent tens of thousands of dollars trying to expose Bill Clinton’s extramarital affairs. His attempt to procure Hillary Clinton’s emails apparently began in the summer of 2016, around the time Trump secured the Republican nomination.

I bold the part about him killing himself, which he did on May 14 of last year. Hmm why does that time frame sound familiar? Oh yea, two days after that Fox News pushed the Seth Rich conspiracies.

Exactly, they lost this battle but they can do other things to bring attention to the important issues they are trying to discuss.

This is what the alt right does so well. They take something and frame it as something else. The whole NFL thing is good intentions done the wrong way. Sadly, right or wrong don't always matter as much as optics, especially in this digital age where a quick caption and a photo can contain so much misinformation.

They are just good at marketing BS. People have been protesting since before many of us were alive. There were people in my high school refusing to stand for the pledge during the Gulf War. So what? It was their right to do it. We didn't need to have a national discussion on it.

Surprise, looks like the reason for these California wild fires is an alt right scumbag trump supporter, alex jones fan, and believer in q anon. He needs to be charged with murder, terrorism, and executed if true.

Trump encouraging people to boycott a company (Harley Davidson), is that even legal?

Was reading about this and saw this image of these bikers rallying while waving their cell phones in the air. It just strikes me as ironic and kind of surreal casually accepting Asian electronics while flipping out on this sticking point.

So apparently Omarosa says she's heard the tape of Trump using the N-word. He's said there are no tapes. What's the over-under on how long before we hear Giuliani have to chime in that he's not sure that being taped using the N-word is a crime?

I'm certain he's used it. I'm doubtful tape exists. Crossing fingers though.

He never said it>That tape is doctored>So what that he said? Black people can say so can the President>He is just telling it like it is and liberals are taking away our freeze peach

There's no doubt he used it. If not around Omarosa, there's tons of Mark Burnett tapes from the Apprentice, long before he was President.

Honestly though I'm not sure what it is going to change. "Just lockerroom talk".

It just needs to have less than a 1% voter effect. He won by such a small amount of votes, any little bit helps.

katrina pierson said on faux news last night no such tape exists of her every discussing it and omarosa was writing a 'movie script.' Doh.................................

Larry David: What Really Happened at Trump Tower
A transcript of “that” meeting with the Russians surfaces — and a controversy is settled.
Everybody wants to know what was said in that Trump Tower meeting with the Russians in June 2016. Well, other than the people in the room, I, Steven Yablonsky, alone know exactly what was said because I worked as a janitor in the building and was hiding in the closet recording all of it on my phone. As it happens, I was fired yesterday for not putting up the “wet floor” sign in the lobby, and a few people took a tumble, including Tiffany, so now I can finally reveal all.
Transcription:
Through a crack in the closet door, four Russians enter. They are Natalia Veselnitskaya, Rinat Akhmetshin, Irakly Kaveladze and Anatoli Samochornov. Already present are Donald Trump Jr., Paul Manafort, Jared Kushner and Rob Goldstone. They all say hello and introductions are made.
Rinat: Where shall we sit?
Don Jr.: Anywhere you’d like.
Rinat: You want big chair?
Don Jr.: You can have the big chair.
Rinat: Ah, I feel a little funny.
Natalia: Take big chair. Don Jr. say O.K.
Rinat: (sits) I like this. It sinks in. Might fall asleep.
Irakly: (pointing) Look at nice spread.
Jared: Help yourself to anything on the table.
Irakly: Is that tuna fish or chicken salad? Very hard to tell difference.
Rob: And they taste the same. That I don’t get.
(They all mutter in agreement. Why is that? One’s chicken, one’s fish.)
Manafort: O.K., shall we begin?
Natalia: We have very good dirt, as you say, on Clinton. You win election with this.
Manafort: Hold it, hold it. Wait a second. First off, that would be illegal. That would be conspiring with an enemy to commit election fraud.
Rinat: I thought that was what meeting about.
Natalia: Me too.
Don Jr.: What? Who told you that?
Rinat: What did you think it was about?
Don Jr.: I thought it was about adoption!
Rinat: Adoption?!
Manafort: Yes, adoption. We want you to rescind the ban. It’s taking a tremendous toll.
The Russians: (in unison) Ohh … well, this is big misunderstanding …
Jared: I’ll say.
Don Jr.: Can I have a word with my colleagues?
(The four Americans huddle up right in front of the closet door.)
Don Jr.: I think we should call the F.B.I.
Goldstone: Right now?
Don Jr.: Right now!
Jared: No, that’s crazy.
Don Jr.: We’re breaking the law, Jared!
Jared: No, we’re not. … What’s that word that starts with a “c”?
Goldstone: Constitution?
Manafort: Coffers?
Don Jr.: Conspiracy?
Jared: No … collusion! That’s legal! Is that a beauty? We’re not calling the F.B.I.!
Don Jr.: O.K., but my dad still might get in a lot of trouble for this.
Goldstone: I’m getting an Arnold Palmer.
Don Jr.: I don’t think there’s any lemonade.
Goldstone: Seriously?
(They return to their seats.)
Manafort: Sorry about the misunderstanding, but you see, there are thousands of families in America who are suffering because they’re unable to have children of their own. One of my dearest friends has no children. It’s been heartbreaking to watch them trying to adopt and come up empty.
Don Jr.: Do you have kids, Anatoli?
Anatoli: Yes, two beautiful daughters. The government take them for gymnastics.
Don Jr.: So you know how empty life is without them. I know relations between our great countries have been frayed. But that shouldn’t be what this is about. This should be about hardworking families who want to experience the joys of parenthood. Can’t you put yourself in their shoes? Can’t you … (begins to break down)
Manafort: Does anyone have a tissue?
Anatoli: Natalia, you have tissue in purse?
Natalia: Here, yes, of course. Don’t cry, Don Jr. Don’t cry.
Don Jr.: (bawling) Thank you. … I wanted to adopt a child from Cambodia, but Vanessa said no. It broke us up. … I’m sorry.
Natalia: I see how much this means to you. I will call President Putin to discuss. I am on your side.
Rinat: Me too.
Don Jr.: Thank you. This means the world to me. And you know who will be really happy about this? Dad. In fact, this whole meeting was his idea.
Natalia: Nice.
Rinat: And you’re sure you don’t want our information on Clinton? Election in bag.
Manafort: Oh, God, no. Please don’t bring that up again. You see, Rinat, this is America. We’re a democracy. Our elections are sacred. And when it comes right down to it, I’d rather lose than win by cheating.
Natalia: Understood. Our apologies. We will be in touch.
(They say their goodbyes and head out. As the door closes …)
Don Jr: I still think we should call the F.B.I.

Pretty much everyone in the Trump/Russia/GOP/Fox orbit is a living incarnation of the South Park episode, except they don't have to shove food in their butts to have crap come out their mouth.
