No longer going to repeal Obamacare.

No longer going to have a "task force" to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.

No longer "draining the swamp," but actually hiring swamp swimmers.

No longer gonna 'put her in jail.'

Instantly going back on the promises he made for over a year. Seems like he has the politician part down pat.

Because he can't...If he does, he is finished in 2020 and so are the Repubs...

Had to go for a few days cause kids got sick. It started with my youngest pooping all over the floor for three days...HAd to call a carpet cleaner and then my oldest throwing up all over the place...Took both to see the doc before they finally calmed down this weekend....Thank you Halloween candies....Thank you very much! NOT! Ain't kids grand?

Now to get down to business. First of all, congratulations to Donald Trump. That was totally unexpected. And no matter how I hate the man, I will support my President elect cause as Mark Cuban said, I'm an American first and will be an American to my dying days. Throwing tantrums is NOT conductive to moving this nation forward. This country has elected, and even if the choice is not your cup of tea (besides, BOTH candidates are not my cup of tea), what is done, is done and it's time to put aside our differences and move forward.

Second of all, shame, absolutely SHAME on all those protesters. It's ok to protest, in fact, making your voice heard is what this country is all about and protesting and having a differences in opinion is guaranteed under the Constitution. It's what makes this country great. However, and this is a BIG HOWEVER, setting things on fire, threatening people, and committing crimes is not! It's very unbecoming of you guys! Especially since the Democrats STILL has the numbers advantage and the Demographics shift is STILL happening, and that is STILL favoring the Democrats. You guys made a mistake of putting Clinton up there, and not Bernie! If this is Bernie, we probably will not having this conversation in the first place!

Anyways, the challenge facing Trump is many. Simply put, and this is STILL TRUE, he won by blowing a lot of hot air and being loud and bombastic.......Actually, come to think of it, that is smart. Mitt lost in 2012 cause he can't stay on one coherent message. He flip to the far right one minute and then flopped to the middle the next and in the end, he got nobody. Trump decided to appeal to the far right and stuck with it, and that's the first critical thing on how he won! But already, he is now flopping to the middle. And this is why I agree with that article that Trump is not some sort of nightmare for the Dems and liberals. He HAS TO move to become a pragmatic middle road President if he want to survive. Already, in that 60 minutes interview, he promised "the wall" will be nothing more than a fence in most places, Obamacare may not be completely repealed, he will keep some of it such as insurance companies can't deny coverage to those with pre-existing conditions and kids can stay under their parents coverage till 21 etc. And before Liberals can jump up and say, "Bannon", he is countering that with Reince.....And that's all because again, the Democrats STILL HOLDS the numbers and demographics advantage...Which I will cover later.

The second problem with his hot air is again, what he promised on the campaign trail. The big reason he won Penn. Mich. and Wis. is not only the millennials and the Blacks did not come out and play, but also, he was able to convince many Democratic blue collar workers who mostly vote Blue to vote for him this year....But even then, the votes was very very close (Wis. was only 53.000 advantage). If Dems can only muster up 500K votes in each of those States...(again, first sure fire thing that Dems STILL has the numbers game). And that's because he said basically that China was a "money manipulator" and he will put up 40% tariffs on both Chinese made and Mexican made goods to bring manufacturing jobs back to those States.....Will he do that? Judging from the recent spade where he keep on moving to the center, not likely! Trump, being the business man that he is, probably also know that is nothing but hot air cause if that happens, the first thing to go will be the U.S. economy instead! But still, he must keep this promise and time is short. Those people, no matter what, is STILL very much Democrats at heart and only gave him 16 months to do something before "he is doomed".......That's gonna become one of the biggest challenge for Trump in the coming first two years!

The third is trying to keep the party together. This is shown with his CoS nominee...S! Remember Trump built his election success on being bombastic and appeal to the far right....Hence Bannon...But since the Democrats still holds the numbers, and most critically, the demographics edge, he also threw in Reince as a balance! Why? Simple, going back to what I said far far back about far right religious nutters and how they and the main Republicans learned how to work together? That's the first thing Trump realizes! And this wins my respect (somewhat) cause I've been badgering about how both the Anti-Establishment crowds and the Establishment NEED to work with each other to survive! And that has not changed!!!! If the anti-establishment and establishment goes after each other, then the Republican as a party is truly finished. Already, Hispanics, blacks and others are screaming at the Bannon nomination................And some of my Repub friends are already screaming at Reince since, well, he is about the most "insider" as ever. And remember Donald built this win on the fact he is an "outsider" and will "drain the swamp"....And already he is nominated several insiders to his staff.....How will the anti-establishment "outsiders" handle this fact, along with stuff like "A fence for "The Wall", and especially no complete repeal on Obamacare (in fact, I don't think a repeal is forthcoming, not for at least two years I think, not until the Repubs design a replacement plan and don't be surprised if that plan contains many aspects from Obamacare anyways. Cause, again, this is something I've been harping since militaryphotos.net days, Republicans CAN'T repeal without another plan cause they are committing political suicide if they think throwing out 20 million potential voters onto the curb is in anyway a good idea!) . It is absolutely critical for Trump to get a handle on this and have both sides cooperate....If he can't and this blows up and both sides are at eachother's throats........

Why Donald needs to do this? If you read what I've said, then you realize what I'm about to say next, "THE DEMOCRATS STILL HOLDS THE NUMBERS GAME AND ESPECIALLY THE DEMOGRAPHICS GAME!!!!". White votes has gone down 2% this year since 2012, and will go down another 2% to 68% in 2020. That means another 2 million white votes will go down the drain since the baby boomers are getting even older and are either dead, dying or too infirm to vote. Come 2024 (If Trump wins 2020), then to 66% with another 2 million votes gone. That alone will give the number games back to the Dems! Look at the popular vote, wither Clinton wins that or Trump wins that does not matter. Even if Trump wins, it will be by around 500K or so. That will not be enough when you subtract around 2 million white votes from the equation in 2020! Not only that, the numbers game. Hillary is not popular among the Millennials. Some 2 million of them did not vote for her cause either they hate her or think she will win wither way! If somehow Dems can even drag 1 million of them to vote in 2020.......And again, Black votes had fell sharply due to Clinton herself. Lets add another 1 million black votes into the equation for 2020....And all of sudden Trump is in hell of danger of losing 2020 even if he do good! And that's not enough too! With 2 million white votes gone, the replacements are even MORE millennials, with Hispanics (major major voting block here), blacks and Asian-Americans making up the differences...And all four groups HAAATTTEEE Republicans with a passion!

The fact of the matter is, this is probably the last time you will see a white coalition winning a Presidential election......And it took a perfect storm for Trump, with A LOT of help from the Democrats themselves to do it (with another helping hand from Comey)! And already Dems are getting smart by kowtowing down to Bernie and saying how sorry they are for screwing him out of this year's election and Bernie already said he is thinking about 2020!....And we all know it's "THE BURN" that millennials and many others, including A LOT of African-Americans truly wanted! Now if the Dems are truly smart, lets drop the worst case scenario.....2 months after Obamas left the WH and after a well earned vacation, there is a knock on the door and several Dems reps shows up, Barrack answers, "yes?" and they answer, "We need to speak to Michelle". Michelle shows up and they say, "we need to speak in private". In a lone room, they simply starts, "The Democratic Party needs you. That's why we want you to run with Bernie as his VP choice!" And keep on badger her for four years if necessary. Talk about a nightmare scenario for the Repubs! And before you say it, Barrack is leaving the WH with a 54% approval rating! Michelle is VERY popular among the blacks and even among women and compared to Hillary, she is as clean as they come so in no way will Comey or whoever can save Trump if he goofs! Now imagine Barrack comes out in 2020 to rile up the Democratic crowds, especially among the Blacks and Hispanics while women gets dazzled by Michelle while the Millennials cheers and screams, "FEEL THE BURN!!!!"....Again, Trump might loose 2020 even if he done good! I certainly will vote for this ticket, not because of all the ballyhoos, but that ticket look far more attractive than a Trump/Pence ticket right now...Not unless Trump is flarking 110% perfect for the next 4 years!

This is why Republican outreach is so important. If they want to win 2020, Trump must act the leader and reach out to the Millennials especially. Hispanics might be a lost cause since what they want run complete contrary to what the far right want and vice versa. But Millennials, and blacks? That is something the Repubs can and should work on! If they could lock down just 2-3 million of them come 2020, then Trump hopes just shot up several notchs and can compete. If not.........This is especially true if the anti-establishment crowds, angry because, "No repeal on Obamacare, no wall, no lock her up, no anti gay marriage (What is done, is done), no appeal on affirmative rights (no way he is going to do that. No way Trump want to face down a 100% Black voting block voting for the Dems in 2020) and no challenge on the big one, abortion (again, Trump right now can't afford say, if only 1 million women switch sides to the Dems) decides to shift and get angry against him.

Sorry about the long post and rant. But this is what I'm seeing. Donald looks like will NOT be the nightmare everyone makes him out to be but the challenges he is facing is numerous and treacherous, far more so when even Obama took office in 2008...And we knew just how bad that was. This will be telling since the first year will prove whether Donald will become either a great President, or absolutely the worst one we've seen in a long time, maybe even worse than Bush ever was! That's the thing about him and this situation, there is no middle ground. He either will be great....Or will become absolutely horrible and take down the country with him. I'm hoping for the former.

What trump is facsing is NOTHING compared to Obama. Obama had the Iraq invasion, the Afghanistan invasion, the second Great Depression, Osama still on the loose, the first black president. There's no completion. Trump will face a cakewalk compared to Obama.

Well, we know how all your other predictions in this thread ended up.....

When I'm wrong I am wrong and I will admit it.

But as my other post said, even though long, the numbers game and especially the Demographics game STILL belongs to the Democrats! Especially if the next ticket is Bernie Sanders and Michelle Obama! Dems missed out at least on 1-2 million Millennial votes cause they wanted either Bernie or stayed at home thinking Hillary will win. Black votes also fell by about 1 million. Michelle CERTAINLY will drive them out in 2020 and a couple million women to Dem sides too! And remember Barrack is going out with a 54% approval rating....Could you imagine him stomping for Bernie and his wife? Repubs has to shake in their boots thinking about this cause both Bernie and Michelle are as clean as possible can be! No Comey or whoever will come and save Trump 2 weeks before the election here!

And that's the most important thing on how the Dems lost this election. They lost because they picked the wrong candidate! If Bernie was the candidate, then we wouldn't be even talking about Trump right now! Clinton shot herself because she can't motivate the millennials and the Blacks to come out and vote for her. And then there was the BIGGGGG X-Factor in Comey, who shot her down completely two weeks before the election (don't be surprised if the Repubs throw him under the bus to appeal the crowd). They also know next time, Clinton won't be around as a punching bag for them to take the eyes off of Trump! This is why Trump is moving as far away from his far right off the edge election promises as much as possible. Repubs may harp about the "silent majority", but Trump and the Repubs know in reality, Dems STILL HOLDS the numbers and especially the demographics game down pat. They can't win because the white vote will go down a further 2 million down to 68%!!! If they stay the far right off the cliff course promised by Trump this year, that ALONE will guarantee a Dem victory right there! And again, if the Dem tickets is Bernie and Michelle, you can add the missing millennials and black votes especially to that count (around minimum 2 million right there). And of course, what makes up the missing 2% are mostly millennials and Hispanics! So the advantage could be as big as three million if not more! If Trump has the number advantage and the "silent majority", why is he not staying the course he promised in the election and is moving helter for seeker to the middle? Aka, for many Repubs, "The stinken' liberals" Territory?

Also, since you and Colin K didn't vote, you should STFU.

What trump is facsing is NOTHING compared to Obama. Obama had the Iraq invasion, the Afghanistan invasion, the second Great Depression, Osama still on the loose, the first black president. There's no completion. Trump will face a cakewalk compared to Obama.

1. Obama's problems are major but all of that was external. But yes, I maybe wrong on the fact that I didn't put the words correct. As a whole, Obama's problems was way worse. However...

2. Trump's problem is much worse because half of it is INTERNAL! Again, if he can't bring the anti-establishment and establishment together, that alone will KILL him! Then there are all the hot air promises he made, the wall, the "I'll bring jobs to Penn. Wis. and Mich. etc....So far already, he ain't doing that....And that alone may eventually piss off the anti-establishment crowds cause "he is becoming like them" while jobs will not be arriving in those states cause...Well, I doubt if manufacturing jobs will EVER come back to this country!

And that's the thing! Obama got it easier (somewhat) because the economy was SSSOOOO BAD that any improvements is good. His problems maybe bigger than Trump's but his solutions in comparison, is far easier (in a sense) since any solutions that he comes up with, so long as it softens the blow (remember the economy was so bad, it hasn't even flecking hit bottom when Obama took office), Obama wins.

Trump on the other hand, has no easy solutions to anything and/or the solutions will get him killed no matter what cause his bombast, unfortunately, on the campaign trail meant any solution he does, will get him killed by one side! For ex. His CoS appointment(s). Hispanics, blacks etc are already railing against Bannon...Meanwhile, anti-establishment crowds are already up in arms again Reince! This is what I'm talking about! I understand why he got Bannon AND Reince.....But at the sametime, this solution might end up pleasing no one and blow up in his face, especially if he starts to add more "established insiders" into his fold, which he absolutely needs to do in order just to run an effective office!

The thing is I don't feel a flark bad about Trump in this case cause he got himself into it! An especially bad "I don't give a flark, I just want to watch shaznits happen" part of me want this to happen just to watch the far right squirm and make sad excuses when things blows up in the Repubs face but I quickly shuts it down cause if that happens, the country just went down the tubes!

Good a cakewalk is all that he maybe able to handle.

Lol we're not gonna read this...

He actually told the red necks that he was going to legalise them sodomizing their pick up trucks via their exhaust pipes, in-between spitting chewing tobacco.

In hindsight, it was a great sales pitch. Truck/man relationships are more common than people think.

Not true. He'd never support anything so deviant. All decent 'murcans know you spit the tobacco first, onto the tail pipe, for lubrication.

Only if it's menthol. It makes it all tingly, like you're penetrating a jar of cough mixture.

State rights have continued to lessen with each overreach from the executive and judicial branches. Like ive mention extensively that its ment to keep the consolidation of power which is why i was against the direct election of senators. Every state has their own elections instead of having one national one.

I respect your opinion on this. You seem to believe that states rights should be protected, and maybe even are more important than federal rights. There are some issues where it is clear are under the purview of federal law, and others that are clearly left to the states. However, what is more important than either of these is the rights of the citizens, and it is on that grounds where the EC fails - because it is establishing a preferred class of citizenry whose votes count more. Since it's in the Constitution, it's the law of the land, but that doesn't make it correct, and ocuching it as states rights vs. federal rights is a red herring - if we are going to choose a President by election (rather than parliamentary or some such), no man or woman's vote should count more or less than any others.

I think this is the longest post I seen in this forum.

I think people need to move on & support the President elect. Its more meaningful to hold him to his promises from 2017.

This! I think it's time that you Yanks embraced having a differently 'abled' person running the country.

You need to stop seeing handicaps, and start seeing possibilities.

I once dated a red head, and I barely hated him because of his mutation. It's time you all grew up and showed the same compassion.

Should rednecks be considered a derogatory term?

Food for thought.

Nope. I will not support him. I guess that I will just have to live with it.
