Prey was low 80's. Dishonoured was mid-high 80's.Which one? And would one average the scores between the two?

He has confirmed that they don't see higher than a 15% subscription rate for Game Pass, and their focus is entirely on Xbox first, Microsoft Windows PC, and Cloud via devices like Android and iPhone.
I love that he confirmed their massive commitment to great games coming. I think he kinda accidentally had a surprise in the interview. When asked about upcoming games, he mentioned 2023 games AND Hellblade 2. If we see Hellblade 2 in 2023, that is massive add to what they are already putting out.
Are you trying to imply that they're going to stop making the Xbox? Because that is not at all what I took from that.
Not anytime soon, and what Phil said doesn't lend weight to that take either.
Wolfenstein young Blood laughs at you.I think this is the first game either studio has released below an 80.

That is weird. Probably why he didn't say it.No just little weird to say great games wouldn't move the needle on the console front .
That isn't what he said.No just little weird to say great games wouldn't move the needle on the console front . Great games are exactly what gamers want so having more of them would definitely help to make them come to your console platform. Of course this wouldn't be an overnight thing, it would need to be consistent output over a generation.
If you have time, watch the entire interview. He explains his reasoning. Much of his reasoning ALSO includes the fact now that people have a massive investment in an ecosystem where all their games are moving forward, they aren't going to leave that garden to go into a new garden. Which means they would have to pray on a small portion of people that are multiconsole owners, or want to be.No just little weird to say great games wouldn't move the needle on the console front . He does make sense. I almost have 1000 PAID for games in my Xbox catalog. Not a chance that I am going to ever dump Xbox and go to PS (If I didn't have a PS that is) because it has a few games that aren't in my expansive library that can't even be sold. I am going to continue to grow my library of games that are all playable on my one device. If I had 1000 games in my PS library, I wouldn't want to leave it.
If a competitor to iTunes comes out and is the only place in town where you can get Metallica's new album, but that person's iTunes library consists of 20,000 paid songs, they aren't going to switch to Zune because they want Metallica.
The whole digital thing is changing this.
He knows, and we know, that there will indeed be more people buying an Xbox if they release some games that are not on PS. They will move the needle. But not in some record time frame that fanboys expect. But at the same time, PS gamers aren't going to dump their library of games.
MS has the games. They have more coming. And if Activision closes soon, they will have those. So Xbox and Windows PC fans are safe for many years/decades to come. Xbox has already grown this gen more than all previous gens. We have great games, and more great games coming.
I think the problem with "record time" is they probably should have been consistently delivering by now and them not doing it is why it would require record time.He knows, and we know, that there will indeed be more people buying an Xbox if they release some games that are not on PS. Great games won't make people sell their PS5's but they (MS) will sell more Xbox's.
100%Phil
Uh, did you follow the ABK deal? They gave to pass the deal and it still didn’t work.100%
Unless he is playing the long game that I don't see, he needs to get the stepping. I like the older guys when they were more aggressive. None of this plays nice with others. Like the ABK deal, he should just say f*** it and give nothing away. Look what SONY did to them on this deal, Do you see them playing nice?
Wow, all I said was making great games will sell more hardware, that's hardly a controversial or even critical response to what he said lol.Their selling the Xbox platform. Xbox hardware is just one piece of that. Jesus, jinca! My man's stay salty.
You weren't listening. Since Sony and Nintendo are so synonymous with hardware, Xbox won't be able to make a dent in specifically the hardware space against them. This is precisely why they went the subscription route and are playing to their strengths now.Wow, all I said was making great games will sell more hardware, that's hardly a controversial or even critical response to what he said lol.
You can be nice and do a good job.I really do like Phil. He speaks about gamers first and doesn't sound like he is pandering like Jim Ryan
I think you are amazing. A German full of false propaganda. How quaint.I think Phil is amazing. He manages to be the only non-politician that manages to keep performing badly year after year & still keep his job.
On a serious note. It's bogus how someone in this position thinks studios you bought should develop games how they want (obviously not include games they are already in development).
You need to set the sales, financial goals, timeframe, & criteria for games you expected from them. And they can think about & propose to you what they are developing, & negotiate the terms. You do not let them do whatever F they want. That defeats the purpose of buying a studio.
If you want creative freedom, stay independent.
You think Sony and Nintinedo beat MS because of hardware? Console are not collector items like watches or vintage cars. You weren't listening. As he mentioned, no one's going to sell their PS5 for Starfield, no matter how good it is. He's right!

This just isn't true.Noone is selling their Ps5 for Starfield but they will buy into the Xbox platform if the game is good. Gone are the days where gamers really only focus on one platform especially when more games are intertwined now on PC. If you have good games, I bet more than likely people will come.
This just isn't true.
The vast majority of console owners have 1 console. The idiots you meet on Twitter and folk you see on forums are not representative of the majority.
Phil's point wasn't that making good games is bad for Xbox so they wont make them. His point was simply making good games isn't enough as the other 2 do that aswell. They have to find other ways, like Game Pass.
Yes. Nobody disputes you need good games. Not Phil, not I.You need to also fill Gamepass with great games. Otherwise what would be the appeal?
They have done it before with the 360. They can do it again.
