What? did you read what the upgrades were? I didn't see new models written anywhere lol it's a remaster not a remake. Native 4K or 1440p performance mode, additional content and faster loading and if you own the game already (over 10 million people do) you can upgrade if you CHOOSE to do it for $10, not a bad deal really.

Now if they'd go back and fix the pacing issues and remove some of the bloat, I'd be willing to pay $40 lol

I think most people are buying more for the new modes and content than the enhancements itself for the $10.

Also the PS5 boosted PS4 version runs pretty well already from my experience when I platinumed the game.

The enhancements just make the game even better:

• You can transfer your save from PS4 to PS5
• 4K Fidelity
• 1440p up scaled to 4K performance
• Unlocked FPS mode for TVs that support VRR
• Increased texture resolution
• Increased Level of Detail distances
• Faster Loading
• Full Dualsense Support
• New skins for Ellie and Abby
• New Survival Mode “ No Return : randomized encounters and experience The Last of Us Part II’s combat in a fresh experience with various playable characters from the story
• Guitar FreePlay mode
• Speed Run
• Accessibility features
• 3 Lost Levels not in the original ( not final levels, early dev levels to explore )
• Last of Us Part II Remastered W.L.F. Edition

Even though it was one of my favorites from last gen, I got pissed off seeing this at first thinking I'd have to pay $70 for it (which I wouldn't). $10 is well worth the price for me. I've been meaning to replay it on PS5 anyway, just never got around to it.

So this is more of a directors cut, with features that probably were intended for initial release, as they mentioned they were cut, but now with more time for development and make things work properly it’s a go, for an additional, but minimal, cost.

I feel the survival mode was intended for initial release but then moved to be included with the then mentioned multiplayer update, but with it being put on hold for Bungie fixing they decided to include it here cos it’s done and works.

a lil disappointed with it not really being natively 4k, just an upscale. Do I care really, nope, already looks good and will continue to play it in fidelity mode. Will I buy it immediately, nah, maybe when season two is set to release I will, to catch up. I’m still salty that my collectors edition came broken. So um yeah lol

I was browsing twitter and there was a journalist who said the main team is still working on a brand new game / IP so this remaster is done by a side chick.

I was busy so didn't post 🧐

I certainly haven't loved Sony's direction or business practices this gen and I definitely lean towards Xbox with bias, but in an era where people spend $25 for a new outfit or emote for their character, $10 for both an upgrade and set of new content seems like a great price. I'm shocked by the faux outrage over this.

Most of the outrage is from console warriors.

How is it faux. Just like all gen they are charging for a PS5 update.

Also, it would only be faux outrage in your scenario if the same were buying $25 outfits.
