Official Thread The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild (Wii U/Switch)

So I applied a gift card balance to my Wii U pre-order of Zelda this morning and it went from release day delivery to "no estimated delivery date". Customer service says they ran out of quantities but I'll be I will be provided the product in a few days or so.
Amazon Prime with Video games has been really hit or miss for me the last couple of years.

I have had a few issues with Amazon Prime over the past 6 months like I've never had in the 8 years I've been using them. They are having some real supply issues with video gaming stuff.

Perfect example is Breath of the Wild. I've been holding out pre-ordering hoping to score a Master or even Special edition. Never seen either available and now at Amazon I can't even order the regular edition for the past week. If Nintendo can't even supply enough copies of this game to meet the number of consoles ready at launch then that is downright pathetic.

Saw how the game deals with enemy respawns..... rather cool but I won't spoil it for those getting the game.

From kotakus review

"Or, how you tried something as ridiculous as flipping over a maze so you wouldn’t have to solve it, and the game somehow let you finish the puzzle anyway. Breath of the Wild is the best Zelda game to date, and it accomplishes that simply by saying yes."
:bang:

I just read the IGN review.

Wow.

Us 'console gamers' war perpetually, but Nintendo p****-whip all of us time and time again(Even if it takes a decade).

The only Zelda game I've liked since Link to the past, is Wind Waker. This? Art!

Sounds like the U version is a bit of a mess hence no review copies sent out

The best in the world doing what they do. Nintendo for life.

So the Switch only has one game to play but it's the best game of all time? I'm okay with that.

Oh and GAF gonna GAF. Don't get salty Xbox fans, it's all in good fun. :D

Ok it is winning GOTY. Wrap it up.

I didn't think we would ever see a game review that high again

ummmm 58 reviews and this game is an average of 98 on metacritic holy smokes that's high definitely the people who said GOTY its possible

I am very happy that I preordered a switch that bad boy is coming tomorrow so happy lol.

I don't think I can wait for Zelda. I'm going to make a run to my 24 hour mega Walmart tonight at 11:30 and hopefully score.

Ugh man I still have like 4 previous games to play through. Should be getting around to this one about 2019 or so.

I didn't...yet. It's a single-player game. No need to rush into it day one. I'll see how things pan out by mid-year.

I was thinking that also, but then I figure we can't really expect a price drop anytime soon (maybe the game for $10 less but that's about it), so why not just get it now. Worst case scenario is I just sell it.
But if the virtual console is up and running anytime soon, that would be a huge bonus.
