I used to play Contra with my mom when I was a kid. Super Mario Bros too, but she'd get too carried away jerking her arms to the side when she was jumping across stuff on the screen.

I was listening to a movie/tv podcast I like this morning and they mentioned this story briefly. I looked up a little during my lunch break. This is f’ing crazy! Will read more later.

I got kicked out of my grandfather's church when I was 11 for fighting. It was during vacation Bible school and some idiot kid pushed my mom down into a seat and hurt her back. I shoved the kid down and started wailing on him and my grandfather (who was the church song leader) had to pull me off of him. They told him to never bring me to their church again.

Apparently you do and probably the guy I wailed on who still avoids any contact with me almost 30 years later.
 
I wasn't much of a church kid growing up but my parents made me go. One summer I had to go on a trip to some bible camp in Estes Park Colorado. Didn't want to go besides getting a free vacation to Colorado I guess. Long story short outside of doing non church stuff while we were there I was kind of a dick. My mom actually got in a verbal fight with another mom and even to this day they don't talk lol.
