We live in an age where endless entertainment options exist at our fingertips, yet we still have a real need to get out of the house and share new experiences with our friends and family. At THE VOID you will walk into new dimensions and experience worlds without limits. From fighting intergalactic wars on alien planets, to casting spells in the darkest of dungeons, THE VOID presents the Future of Entertainment. Only limited by imagination, our advanced Virtual-Reality technologies allow you to see, move, and feel our digital worlds in a completely immersive and realistic way. Our Virtual Entertainment Centers (VECs) are coming to major cities throughout North and South America, Asia, Europe and Australia. More than watching a movie or playing a game … in THE VOID you will live an adventure.

The PS4 has so many more AAA exclusives than The Void it's not even funny. Honestly, let's talk about install base...

Plainview, was that your pitch or the developer's? Because you can't tell us to get out of the house and away from games just to go somewhere else to play games.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeet. Hygiene concerns aside, this is really exciting stuff. There should be a Void at every Dave & Busters within 5 years! :)

Also, curious as to how the weight of the gear will be. Looks like you'll have tactile feedback vest and a mobile computer strapped to your back for the HMD to plug into.

I hope so. I wasn't sold on VR until I saw what Hololens is looking to do. The Void seems to take it much further.

Definitely. Looks amazing....I think the main problem is probably cost, so they'll prob be few and far between at first. Fortunately I'm between Boston and New York :)

These were very popular in Japan in the early 90s but they never catched on over here. Granted, they were more like a Lazer Tag show than a VR thingamajing, but the essence was the same.

I hope they can significantly increased the FOV for a consumer version. <30 degrees definitely ain't gonna cut it.
