Those are the same shadows I've seen. The look hasn't change from other videos. Your point?
Oh, but they will. The bottlenecked CPU of the PS4 and the bottlenecked GPU of the Xbox One will make them the lowest common denominator. The PS4 (and the X1) are underpowered outdated machines now.
There are already a bunch of games out now that look far better than TW3. Good thing I am not worried about graphics. If I were, I surely wouldn't be buying this game, lol.
The PS4 version doesn't look that good at all, but the PC version looks pretty good. Not GREAT by any means though. For open world it does pretty good.

Truth. But it's starting to become a bit ridiculous now. We got all versions now, except Xbox One, it's not so much that i worry my version won't look and won't perform good, but i don't get why they seem to be hiding it. Just a few f***ing minutes of footage is all i want.
Sure, but the discussion in question is about the visuals, not the size of the world.
Visually, it's not a large step above W2, and while yes, it is now open world....the W2 was still 4 years ago. You also don't get all visuals loaded on the screen in an open world setting, so I would assume that most of what's needed to push open world would be on the cpu side of things, not so much on the gpu.
With that said, I'll admit that I don't know how the tech works, so I'm just going on my assumption. In any event, I'm referring to how the game "looks", and what my eyes is showing me, is a game that looks like W2 modded (visually speaking).
by the way, I'm not saying that the game doesn't look good, because it does. Just saying, it doesn't have that "wow" factor, that W2 had 4 years ago.

It shows superior shadows and with much more going on.
W2 was way ahead of its time though.
4 years later it still blows away most games visually and I think its a DX 9 based game. That's impressive.
I disagree on w3 I think it looks incredible and will push hardware.
Disagree it will most definitely be in the top 5 2015 best graphics. Possibly winning a few technical awards.
If you think the PS4 version don't look good then you best avoid the XBO version as we know it has 33% less pixels and word I am hearing is the draw distance is worse then any other version with major pop in.
I personally think they did a good job on the PS4 and if the XBO looks close to it(regardless of the above mentioned issues) will look great on the XBO as well.
Same here. Whenever I know I'm getting a sequel to a game I loved, I will replay it only when I know I'll have a couple months buffer zone between the replay and the new game. Then I actively avoid playing it so the new game feels as 'fresh' of an experience as possible.
Well i think they have a few rights, they have secured a few things but didn't manage to secure rights to show X1 as console version first. I heard that in the US there's commercials on tv of Witcher 3 with the Xbox logo on it, that's marketing, right? People are worrying because there's so much silence from both MS and CDPR. Lots of people ask CDPR on their forums when we can expect some X1 footage and they just ignore it. Why not simply give us an estimate? While last week they said footage of both versions was coming?
Either way, the author on Duelshockers posted an article with the PS4 footage and in the comments he answered some questions. He said that when he played it on X1, he didn't notice any problems with texturing, framerate, and so on. He says Xbox gamers have nothing to worry about. All good stuff...i guess,, but come on MS, some footage? I'm gonna quit now, been sounding like a broken record for a while now
Word you are hearing? Ok...from who? Cause a dev from CDPR told me today in a PM the level of detail, framerate, texturing , pop in, is all exactly the same as PS4, just not the framerate. It would be a real bad look if this turns out to be lies, bad look on the dev.
Avoid the console version by all means if you want decent graphics. Right now console is looking old school. I think we might have to wait until NEXT gen for NEXT gen gaming and graphics sadly. PS4 (and X1) are just not cutting the cake with these old tablet CPUs sadly.
Threads like this would depress the s*** out of me if I was a game developer. Hell, it depresses the hell out of me as a game enthusiast. Graphics whoring has reached an all new level, when what we are seeing in these videos is considered bad. Sadest part is, the videos of the PC version look nearly identical.
I there a way to ignore threads? I keep seeing it has new comments and I can't help but look. Considering how stupid this thread is, I wish I could just hide it so I am not tempted to look.

Platform wars were more fun when it was between consoles. These PC snobs are real d-bags.
I don't get the level of paranoia some had about this game, sure it would have been great to have seen the console versions more (both have been shown now, one was just a long time ago) but some people (not so much on this forum) made it sound like they thought we'd be getting xbox 360/ps3 graphics at a higher res or something and that clearly was never going to be the case. Personally I'm glad they waited to show us the PS4 version until now, there aren't really things to complain or worry about at this point. If the framerate had been poor because it hadn't been fully optimized yet that's all people would have focused on.
