93 hours, according to Steam.

Why? What I said sound like a complain or disappointment? I am just explaining to WithGravy that most quests are along these lines. He will be expecting disappointment if he expect otehrwise in later quest.

Helping someone, then they help you. Its obviously more than that, & each quest is unique. You will not have someone helping you without you doing some favor in return in the game most time. Its just a reality of the game. Its not meant to be a compliment or complain.

Yeah, I am about 85-90 hours in, and I concur.

Not sure how far I am in the story, though. I have just finished the Ugly baby quest line.

I am a bit ahead of you, I am in next quest line, Brothers in arms, but its a long one, as it splited into 3 areas, but I done the one in Skellage. But I am also doing a bit of side quests at the moment.

Yeah, I already failed one of those Brothers in arms quests. That is thanks to a choice a I made pretty early in the game.
 
witcher 3 downloaded entirely in like twenty minutes. Shockingly fast! As soon as I started playing, ten minutes in it froze up. All I could say was...................(bitch!)
 
I'm in the Get Junior quest line. I hate to complain because I am loving this game. It's just annoying. Good things the quests are excellent.

Also, why are wraiths such a pain the ass? I can't block their attacks.

Please elaborate on the magic trap....

I never figured out the point of the magic trap. It says it slows down enemy attacks but the the slowdown must be miniscule. I hardly ever use it.

The slowdown is miniscule for some creatures but works better for humanoids. I'm pretty sure you can deal more damage to wraiths when they are in the sign.

I finally noticed it fighting a Katakan during the Now or Never quest. I was having a bitch of a time with that thing. It's health regenerated faster than I could deal damage. Until I learned the monster was actually a vampire and, duh, fighting a vampire at night isn't smart. So I meditated until noon the thing went down no problem.

That is odd. I have been playing for around 90 hours and not once has the game frozen.
 
Goddammit.

I helped Triss escape Novigrad with her entourage and then I poured my heart out to her, begged her to stay and confessed my love to her. What did she do? She ripped my guts out and took them with her on the boat to a new life.

I never got to f*** her. I hope she returns. Goddammit.

Eh, they remind of one of those late night movies that you stay up to watch as a kid, you get excited at the thought of it but then you get no poontang at all. Just boring, bouncing, jiggly boobies. Then an Ad break.

Did you kiss her in the quest: A Matter of Life and Death ?
 
I am taking a break from killing monsters to play Gwent.

Only realsie I get card also with palying with quent players that is not part of the gwent quests. No wonder I keep having insufficient & lousy cards. I didn't have a single hero card before I begin. Now I have 2. Its a start.

There has been fanfare in the Witcher forum on making a standalone game of quent, & I can see why. It obviously need rebalanceing for MP, but I never into mini game in game, but Quent is at least interesting, even worth of a full game.

Gwent is great. I really enjoy playing. If I come across a merchant of some kind I always hit them up for a game. It has really slowed my game completion time down, but my decks have benefited greatly.

I am currently on the hunt for better cards. I tried to join the Gwent Tournament @ the Pasiflora but my game deck was deemed unworthy :sad:

Have you guys noticed that some quests actually open up lower level quests?? Twice now I've done this and it's been greyed out already, so no XP. Not a big issue, but seems like a strange design choice.

Going to Skelige for the first time was marked level 16. I decided to clear some quests/contracts around Velen and Novigrad first, so ended up going at level 19. After completing that quest, it opens the next, and it's only level 13. No XP.

I love the quests, but might have been better if the still gave some nominal amount of XP for lower quests instead of none. There's a part of me that doesn't feel like doing the greyed out ones, even though I know they'll be good. XP whore I guess.
 
The last patch give a minmial of 5xp.

& yes, the XP system has been a topic of complain & discussion. I had the same issue. I am slightly overlevel (2-3 level above recommnded) when I do some main quest line, only to get greyed quest with min XP.

The static XP system is to blame in my opinion. As in each level has same XP to the next,
1-10-1000XP
11-20-1500XP
21-30-2000XP

& a side quest will give 50 or so XP no matter its level 1 or level 30, so to prevent people overleveling by doing low level quest, they remove XP (later add 5XP) if you are 6 level & above.

If they have a system that scale quest & mosnter XP base on level, & XP leveling is progressive (like most RPG games) like level 1 require 1000XP, level 2, 1200XP, level 3 1500XP...etc
then all the drama reguarding lost XP could have been prevented.
