Still going to be fat Thor?
There’ll probably be a workout/battle montage in guardians 3...
I hate gender bending characters, it's lazy. I know this was a thing in the comics and it looks like Hemsworth is in this as well but it's just lazy, create new female characters and stop acting like taking the easy way out sends some kind of "powerful" message.
Isn’t it more like taking over the title/mantle, like how falcon is now captain America? It could be an intersection take though, like they did with Carrie-Anne Moss’s character in Jessica Jones.
Getting the powers through the hammer makes no sense. Odin already told us tge hammer isn't the source of Thor's power.Thor is Thor, it's his name not his job so it's not the same thing as Captain America who's got a real name and identity aside from his hero name. It just seems lazy, like I'm totally cool with making an alternate universe thing like Miles Morales with Spider-Man because they didn't take it away from peter parker they gave the guy his own storyline. I mean it's still lazy to just keep making different versions of the same character but at least one doesn't erase the other. Calling a female character Thor just seems stupid, if she gets his powers through the hammer or whatever then give her a different name, when Rogue got Captain Marvel's powers they didn't change her name to Captain Marvel she was just Rogue with those powers.
Thot?Getting the powers through the hammer makes no sense. Odin already told us tge hammer isn't the source of Thor's power.
Are we even sure she will be called Thor? Maybe they will give her a new hero name.

In Marvel continuity, Mjolnir is forged by Dwarven blacksmiths, and is composed of the fictional Asgardian metal uru. The side of the hammer carries the inscription "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor."[4]
It channels lighting yes, but that is it.Didn't Captain America summon lightning?

But captain nedver held the hammer in or before Infinity.But...
I coulda swore he said he who holds it has powers of Odin, which would explain why capt is strong enough to kinda push back Thanos in infinity war

Look peeps. These are facts....1. Odin tells us the Hammer isn't the source of Thor's power. 2. If it was, how come Thor has his Thor's power without it.
Not saying the hammer isn't special, but as we saw in Ragnerok, Thor's power extends well beyond the hammer. So, Jane getting her Female Thor powers from it just makes no sense at all.
You forgetting that Odin stripped Thor of his power and then spoke into the hammer. Thor gets his power back. Hammer no longer embues the holder with Thor's power. But Odin is speaking into the hammer when Thor isn't even there to see it. That scene makes it clear that if someone else is worthy they get the powers of Thor.
Yes and no. It was a big deal, but more in the way of neither were worthy to rule and it was used more as a character growth element....or atleast that is how I remember it.Also wasn't the heir to Odin's throne a big deal through the first movies?
Loki wanted to rule, but it was Thor's place to succeed Odin. Now just in time when Loki is presumably dead, Thor takes off to go on adventures basically quiting the job handing it off to a new character.
Is this just a savage burn on Loki? He did rule as Fake Odin for a while and while he was being a self indulgent ruler, Asgard was functioning just fine.
I almost hope Loki lived and he's masquerading as Valkyrie this whole time which is why 'she' wants a queen lol. That would be a twist.
Not true. He strpped him of his power. Talks to the hammer, key words "the power of Thor' it was was always Thor who had the power, not the hammer. In the first movie they clearly had the hammer and thor's powers linked then ignored it for the 3rd
