Awesome! TF is wicked fun, I pretty much suck at it and its still fun as hell. It's one of those games where even your doing bad its still fun.
I played from 9:30 EST until 10:30 and it was me and 1 other person. I couldn't access the DL content so I decided to delete and redownload...I didn't realize until after I set it to delete that the content was DL'd but not installed. When I went to the store the store said it was installed, when it was really only downloaded to my system and not installed.... at that point it was too late and it was already deleting. Reinstall went really slow. Turned off my system last night and went to bed, just checked it and its only at 92%. Hopefully Thursday night I'll be back on.

Question for you guys...I know there is no single player game but I heard there is some sort of story/campaign mode you can play through on each faction side....for the life of me I cannot figure out where this is in the menu system. I've done the trainings...where do you actually access this faction part of the game?
Yeah there is a "campaign" of sorts, you play as the IMC and as the Rebel factions through all the various gametypes. It's all online, it's just MP with a little bit of story to it.
Sorry I didn't make it last night, Tuesday nights are tough to get online as my wife has Monday/Tuesday nights off from work.
lol I think you stepped on me while shooting my mech as I was trying to figure out if I could hijack yours.
Campaign should show up in the list to play all the other modes. Not sure if you can do it with a private match.
So glad I rebought this during the sale, I almost didnt. Played for over an hour last night and had a ton of fun. Feel free to add me. I love the mix of bots and real people, even if you are having an off round you can still help your team and get points. Attrition is fantastic.

Viktor brought up a good question...how do you jack a mech....I know by pressing X while you are near it you jump on the back and then shoot the power core to destroy the mech...but how do you eject the current pilot and take his spot?

So you choose PLAY>then which option is it after that, I honestly couldn't figure it out for the life of me...didn't see anything that says factions

So, I guess if you attack the mech from the front you can kill the pilot, but if you attack from the rear you can explore the power core...?

Rodeoing, yes. Jump on back. Expose core. Shoot core. No hijacking though, i.e. taking over enemy mech.
That article seems to say that if you rodeo from the front you can pop open the cockpit and shoot the pilot...a better way of doing it because you can damage the pilot....when shooting the core the pilot has a chance to exit right?

It is just called Campaign under the play menu. You get a minute of exposition leading into the matches. Game modes are attrition or domination, depends on map. You used to be able to pick your side but now it just assigns you one and you get the story for that side. If you stay on it will cycle through the story on order but you might not always get in at fist chapter, the refueling station.
The pilot can exit any time he wants, and sometimes will exit while you are his back in order to shoot you off his mech. You cannot steal it as it has AI so it can fight along side it's pilot. Many people just use the electric smoke to kill you, though
You can't shoot the pilot out unless it is by destroying the Titan, forcing an ejection.
Curious as to how many of you put the mech in follow mode versus fighting from within the mech...I mostly played straight slayer matches so far....is the follow mode more useful in other game modes, like, in capture the flag, do you have to exit the mech to grab the flag?
