Don't worry, I'm sure we'll still get a "new" remaster of the 2022 Last of Us Remake for PS5 Pro without it's original multiplayer modes for full price.
IMO they have always been somewhere between "okay" and "good". Factions 2 was going to need to be a jump in quality as well as a model shift.
Looks like this is dead. I prefer them focusing on TLOU 3 and the new IP anyways.

Right, probably for the best.
I never got into Factions though I know it was a cult hit with some.
It was good - very tense and brutal. It definitely had the bones to be something great, especially if they used TLOU 2 play mechanics.
Bungie don’t want competition within the family…their eyes are probably set on that fairgames, concord, and Helldivers 2?

Destiny/Bungie are a terrible, terrible yard stick.
Still makes me laugh that Bungie had the audacity to say it wasn't engaging enough, like their drip feeding of minuscule content and rehashing the same weapons and armour or their s*** show MP mode is massively engaging.
I find this crazy. Why not have done a beta test and see what actual gamers think instead of cancelling it on the word of a dev team who have no clue what gamers want and are terrible at the GaaS game type.
