What do you think is Xbox One's most underrated feature? I think it is the instant resume from where I left off in a game. Think about it, you no longer will have to wait for the opening cinematic for the hundredth time or all the splash screen logos except for the first time you play the game.

Apps, it has the potential to bring the excitement of the appstore to the living room. There are some very interesting apps in development by indie devs, one such app apparently involves XBO, Kinect and your cat!

I'm looking forward to trying the ball washer.
o_O

I agree that the ability to keep a game frozen in the background so you can instantly jump back in is huge. The way thing have been the last few months though, I think the whole system has been "underrated".

I think a lot of us are in for a very pleasant surprise in a few weeks, when we abandon these forums for a blissful reality check!

instant game switching, i know its been somewhat compromised since some of the 180's however even for arcade standard games (i know you can download retail) the ability to switch and it not take a minute to shut down one title and load another is a huge bonus.

Edit:- Im going to be liking all posts i agree with on this thread, there is so much under appreciated greatness in the xbox, we need to showcase it.

Another Xbox One change from Xbox 360 that isn't being talked about much is the new friend system. Now that it is "twitter" like with unlimited followers do you think celebrities be it a gaming, music, movie, TV, or sports star will have a huge impact? Do you think they could bring back "Game with Fame"?

I think the follow system is unique but it doesn't have to be the bee's knees. Don't really see the point in it. I also don't see the point in having a 1,000 friend limit cap. Who the hell really plays with so much people? I hope the reputation system works though.

Seriously, 1,000 seems like a lot. I have maybe 6 people on my friend's list

There had been alot of complaints that 100 was too small, yet i dont think they wanted it to be unlimited friends so in a way its reasonable. But your right i imagine a large chunk of players only have a dozen or so friends.

I did not know this and that sounds awesome. I love the feature that you can use to bring up facebook or other chat related stuff while playing a game.

I'm always at 100. I have people from halo 2 still. Also it keeps people from spamming friend requests.

What this means is, everyone on here send me a request once the Xbox one comes out, I'm gonna be the first to max mine out haha

I think it only works if you dont fully shut off the xbox however i think if it only ever goes to its resting state every game will save by just you closing it, similar to how mobile games work.

Definitely Kinect. Bunch of haters out there who are just going to hate, but I think Kinect 2 is going to be huge.
This...people keep making it out as it will be Kinect only games and dismiss the little things that it can do. I really like what they are already doing with BF4(if it works properly) and being able to scan yourself and put yourself into a game is pretty cool also. Kinect is going to be huge.

To be truthful....why would you ever fully shut off your xbox...I'll be keeping mine on for the full 10 years....would like to know what happens though if you have a power outage.

Well to be fair alot of people like to save electric so they might flick the switch off at the wall when they go to bed, i mean id imagine if you left it on all year its going to cost atleast £50 to have it on standby. Tv's supposedly use 10% of power on standby, and they dont do anything while in that mode...

It's been said by Microsoft that the Xbox one will only use 14 watts in its standby power state. Apparently that's 5 cents US a day at current energy rates, or $18.25 (or 11.43 GBP at current conversion rates) a year if it's always left in standby mode. To be clear, the standby power state is when it is listening for "Xbox On'

The Ability to not have to set up Kinect

I agree with the OP. The Instant resume feature seems to very underestimated. You barely hear anybody mention it, and yet it will be one of those awesome things that we will not be able to do without.

The Play while Installing/downloading will be another big ting too given the size of games next gen.

Rumble trigger: I am on the sidelines here. I mean it could be good, could be pointless. All comes down to how devs integrate such a feature in to their games.

Kinect: As a Menu navigation tool, Good. As a gaming input device, nah. It still has too much latency IMO.
