OK guys I went to a place called SKYBOX and I took of my 2 kids and a cousin to the place, let me tell you a thing or two.

First of the all that talk about the X1 size that the console is to big is bullsh*t by a long shot. It looks just about the same as the old xbox 360, the only thing that was bigger was the kinect 2.0.

The controllers are by far the best controller ever, I mean the xbox 360 feels so cheap after playing the X1 controllers. The D-PAD is like the old Nintendo controller (NES). The grip in the analog sticks are 50% better then the X360. There is something about the feel of the X1 controller that have a very high premium feeling to it.

Now the games!

Dead Raising 3 - This is one of the coolest games I have played, the feel is not the other versions and they are a truck load of ZOMBIES and I mean EVERYWHERE! I never seen a framerate problem at all not even a glitch. Game ran like a champ and the killing never gets old!

Forza 5- Now I'm not a racer type but people that loves this kind of games is going to drool because the amount of graphics that was put in that game is just super sick! The cars are just very life like and the speed is very fast (60 fps).

Ryse - This game is the real showboat of all the games that was out there, everything about this game is just stunning. I did the coop mode and I can tell you it was so much fun. Also I saw the intro of Ryse and the graphics are so good you will forget that your playing a game because if looks like a movie. This game combat is like BATMAN games, if you like BATMAN then your going to love this mode. The finishing moves are just sick and the AI are not slow or dumb. They do have harder boss to fight and the can give you a good ass whipping.

Killer Instinct - This game is my baby, I played the crap out of this game and I can tell you all those fighting games better just pack up and forget it because this game is no joke. Saber Wolf is a newbie character because the others were a learning curve to master their combos. Thunder was by far the hardest of that built. The graphics are just popping out of the TV, so much colors and the music is great.

Kinect Sports Rivals- This game looks far better then what you see on youtube, matter of fact forget everything on youtube because is holds everything back. The kinect works very well and again an old built.

LocoCycle - I didnt get the chance to play with that and there is another game as well. I will be going back again tomorrow to play those other games.

I will have more info.
Going to come back to edit and add more later, I am to tired.

Thanks for the hands on impressions! This is just making it that much harder to wait until November though!

Good to hear! Can't wait to get my hands on this later this month in Green Bay.

I will be heading back today for more!

One more thing, the QTE buttons that we saw from E3 on Ryse is gone. You can watch that video 100 times and its not the same.

I've noticed that in the videos we've been seeing lately. I wonder if they have an easy mode where they leave them on? Or perhaps in a tutorial or something.

I dont know but it feels much better. again what people have said before about this game is no more the case. That I can confirm.

By the way, they are all running X1 hardware because they are sitting on top.

You can't upload pics on this site. They need to either be copied and pasted in or you need to embed them with the picture icon giving the image url. I suggest using imgur.

Edit: Scratch that, looks like you got it.

I had to use the direct link, I was doing the img all wrong LOL

But you can see the console is not big at all, just look at the controllers and the headset next to it.

Yeah I'm not sure why people were ever making a big deal about it. I remember at the beginning of last gen people were saying the PS3 was huge too. I buy my console, set it up, and never move it again. Even if it were enormous it wouldn't really be a problem.

Looking forward to seeing some more higher quality pics from you later!

Thanks for the impressions! Please grab some vids if you can.

Is that an Area One event? The one in my city seems to have been cancelled.

I'm about to head out for some beer for the hockey game later and on my way back I'm going to try and check out the "Test Drive" thing which should be set up at 4pm. I'll try to take pictures and hopefully get a crack at a game depending on the crowd. I'd at least like to hold the controller for a few seconds lol.

Thanks for posting these. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.

This even is coming to Phoenix as well. Can't wait till I can play the games again. Last I saw them was at Comic Con.

Ms is that you?

Ok, just got back from the "test drive" thing here in Toronto.

So first of all, I had to sign a waiver and they asked if I was 18 but didn't ID me (I'm 35 so....)

I asked what I was signing and the Xbox person said they may take pictures or video and incase I become a model I can't sue them. Pretty sure it was a joke but I understood they just want to avoid any liability for anything, covering their bases.

There was a very small lineup (maybe 5-10 people) while I was there. It was located in a very unfortunate place. The Leafs are having their season home opener across the street at the ACC arena and there's a really nice area for crowds there and it gets really busy before games, they should have had it there, not in some random parking lot a block away with a lovely backdrop of construction.

Anyway, on to the games. I played Forza first. I was a little taken aback by the amount of moving jaggies I was seeing as I was selecting my car and while it was showing the car in the "garage". I was pretty surprised but I was also standing 3 feet away from what was probably a mid end 32" samsung LCD at best. Playing the track (Laguna Seca, Audi racing car) the in-car cockpit view is really good. I wasn't too happy with the behind the car views as I thought they were a little too top down and would have liked one a little closer to the back of the car.

The game itself played like Forza, which is a good thing, but nothing struck me as much of an evolution. Feeling the triggers rumble a few times was cool.

All in all I walked away from Forza underwhelmed, and concerned about the jaggies which I personally thought were quite bad.

Next I played Killer Instinct. It looked really good and was really fun. I played as the Ice dude and enjoyed it quite a bit, but had no idea how to do any special moves and my opponent and I admitted we were just button mashing but had fun.

The controller feels great. Better than the 360 controller? I wouldn't say that, it's not a whole lot different in my opinion but it feels a tad smaller but still fits like a glove. The textured thumbsticks are nice and the triggers feel great. Didn't use the dpad in game but it felt fine, I don't use the Dpad ever for actually controlling player/vehicle.

So, I guess I would say I'm glad I stopped by this thing to get a sneak peak, was dissapointed with Forza's graphical perfomance, thought KI was really fun, and the controller is good.

But moreso I'm now looking forward to getting my pre-ordered X1 so I can hopefully get a better experience on my own system, and get to experience Kinect and the dashboard etc.

Confused about what game to get on launch day though, as I was intending on getting Forza but I've been put off now to be honest. Just felt like more of the same and those jaggies were really hard to ignore.

Odd because I didn't see any at all

Really none at all?

What was the set-up/circumstances when you played it?

I think maybe the TV was set up poorly and my proximity to it didn't do the game any favours.

I saw the most jaggies during the car selection bit, and then once selecting a car and it pans around a larger version of the car. The edges of the vehicle you could see what I would assume was major aliasing problems. Moving pixels around edges and metal rims and the chrome bumper on the vintage Mercedes it looked terrible.

Once I was on the track driving it looked fine I guess? But I would be dissapointed if the game looked like that on my Sony HX850. I think the TV was s*** and set up poorly.

When I finished the lap and got back in line to play Killer Instinct I was probably a good 10 feet back or more, and the Forza game being played on the TV on the other end looked nice, the guy was selecting the yellow Ford car and it looked nice from that distance.

Anyway, I literally walked home and gave my honest impressions. I'm excited about the system but not really stoked on the launch line-up like I was with the og Xbox (halo, pgr, amped) and 360 (pgr3, kameo, cod2) and felt disappointed with Forza because I was planning on getting that game first, but it doesn't feel like anything exceptional compared to past Forza's. I'm still really excited to get the system, and maybe not bother getting a game day one and just play KI a bit, maybe that Below game I'll download. Maybe I'll give BF4 a shot but never played a BF game.

Yet the XB1 has a better launch line-up than the PS4 apparently, so that's kinda sad lol.

OK I played the Forza today and I will tell you the rumble on your finger tip is very new and different. The feeling is so weird.

Also they had custom X1 Controllers and it looked freaking Awesome! Sorry I didnt take more pics because my phone died but I will promised tomorrow.

It sucks that the Xbox One tour doesn't come to my area (which it is about 3 hours from me) until like mid November. I just don't feel like driving 3 hours to play when the following week the system would be out anyways.
