Valheim - Coming to Xbox & Game Pass Spring 2023.

So, finally got around to this.

Shame the visual are so poor. Not sure if this is how they want it too look or if they have a plan for significant upgrades later for full release. Imagine if this looked like Fortnite. Would be epic (no pun intended)

Game is fun, though. Explore, find, loot, kill, and unlock new things to craft is a satisfying game play loop.

Looking forward to playing more.

It's definitely an intentional look. Personally, I would not be a fan of the fortnite visuals in a game like this. There might be more HD optional upgrade in the future, perhaps there are mods out for that already, but I find the visuals to be very satisfying as is.

I experienced a Thunderstorm yesterday and that had a great atmosphere.

Game does so much very well. Then they make it look like @ss. I used Fortnite because like Valheim it has that cartoony look, but just looks a thousand times better.

Dude, you are taking it too literally. I'm not saying copy the art style. I'm saying it would be great to be on that level visuals wise. Better textures, RT GI, better looking character, etc.
 
Was playing this in a group of 4 last night. Nice chill game reminds me of The Forest, Minecraft-esque.
