What games are you looking forward to in 2019?

Here is my list of anticipated games for 2019:

  • Vane (Jan. 17)
  • The Walking Dead Final Season, once the season is complete
  • Kingdom Hearts (Jan 15)
  • Far Cry New Dawn (Feb 15)
  • Life is Strange 2, once the season is complete
  • Days Gone (April 26)
  • Judgment (summer)
  • Ghost of Tsushima
  • Dark Anthology: Man of Medan
  • Twin Mirror
  • Yakuza Kiwami 3, 4, or 5 (assuming a Western release)
  • Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey
  • Crash Team Racing (June 21)
  • Control
  • The Outer Worlds
  • The Stanley Parable
  • Dreams
  • The Pathless

Some may slip to 2020, of course, but that's what it's looking like now. I didn't include TLoU 2 or Death Stranding, because I don't think either of those will make 2019.

Mortal Kombat 11: must buy game for me.

DooM: Eternal

RAGE 2: just kinda curious about this one

The Outer Worlds: hearing good things; haven't look into it in detail. I might be to busy for story heavy campaings.


I have a crazy job with long days, so I'm looking for instant action games when I start traveling with my gaming laptop and need a break.

SCORN: A game that manages for me to be both fascinating and utterly disgusting. Or a curious mix of wonder and horror. I believe part 1 at least may finally come out.

I hadn't heard of Scorn before. I looked it up. Interesting. A little too dark/gruesome for me, but it is trying something different, so that's good.

I don’t know... hopefully Tetris Effect for X.B.O.X. ( X Box One X for the casuals :p ) even though I got it for PS4 already :p daddy wanna double dip ;)
 
Metro looks good. I may pick it up.
Most looking forward to is Cyberpunk (if releasing in 2019) & Outer worlds.
Ghost of Tsushima looks good, but I am not a fan of soul like games.

However, my most anticipated, if it makes it this year is Cyberpunk 2077. When it releases, I'm dropping everything else to the backlog and giving this priority.

Oh, it won't be a Souls-like game. It's from Sucker Punch, who did Sly Cooper and Infamous. It won't be a dark-themed or punishingly difficult game. There will be plenty of color, and the difficulty level will be normal. At least that's what I expect, based on their track record.

I am surprised no one here has resident evil 2 remake on radar.
It looks great.

I won‘t play it obviously since I don’t play scary game or watch scary movies.

Yeah, I noticed RE2's absence, too. Over half the people in a similar thread on GAF mentioned RE2 as one of their most anticipated games of 2019, but no one here did. I guess we don't have many RE fans here.

I'm going to pass on it, too. I don't like horror games, either. It sounds good for people who are fans of the series, though. Apparently it's not just a remaster but a full remake or "re-imagining" of the original game, which is supposed to be one of the best in the series.

It's definitely on my radar as it was my favorite R.E.. Plus it comes out on my birthday.

I may buy many games next year, but more than likely I’ll still be catching up on my backcatolog from like two years ago, I just finished inside, and I bought it day one. Don’t even get me started on BoTW
