Is the build quality compared to last Gen systems... My launch PS4 still runs great, & seldom gets loud unless it's warm in my room, or when a disc is loading

I hope this kind of quality continues for all systems

It's a far superior machine in my opinion, build quality, hardware, more developer friendly than ps3. It doesn't take much to surpass ps3 though.

Even still, ps4 is one of the best consoles ever made.

Is Sony's commitment to new I.P's. Honestly they are costly, risky and incredibly hard to do but they are so important for the industry as they create new franchises, bring new fans into the industry and foster innovation. Guerrilla want to make a 3rd person dino RPG they have never done before? Sure go ahead. Sucker Punch want to take make an open world samurai/ninja game in a feudal japan setting? By all means go ahead. Media Molecule want to take creativity in gaming to the next level in something wacky and whimsical like Dreams? Please do it. Bend want to make an open world game set in the midwest with hordes of zombies and deep systems? Go for it? Kojima wants to make whatever he wants lol. Quantin Dream want to make Detroit etc. I could go on but they have invested big and continue to support new I.P which is so important for the new industry and Santa Monica's new IP being cancelled didn't deter them despite probably costing millions.

The games. Some of the best I've played in years -- Horizon, Yakuza 0, Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, etc. -- with more great ones just around the corner.

I've also enjoyed Sony's attitude and execution this generation. They got so much right.

And I love their support of SP games in particular.

I have the Pro and my favorite thing about it is the simplicity and subtle design of the system. How the power button and eject and USB ports appear hidden. The KISS dashboard and the 4K crispness of it.
