Finished season 3 of Blacked Mirror. This is probably my favorite season so far with some really good episodes. My favorite was a toss up between Man Against Fire or San Junipero.
Season 2 is a little weaker. Still, enjoyable.About halfway through Season 1 of Glow. Great show so far, not sure why I've slept on it this long, especially as a dork who actually likes wrestling and loves Allison Brie.
Season 2 is a little weaker. Still, enjoyable.
TD season 2 was very good and got a lot of undeserved flack.Finished season two of True Detective. Maybe not as good as the first but still enjoyable. I'll wait a bit before starting season three. Might actually make use of my Amazon Prime and watch something on their. Probably go with either Jack Ryan or Lore. I'd like to watch Man in the High Castle as well but might read the book first.
Season 2 of Happy! (for anyone who missed season 1, check it out. It is hilarious)
Really? I watched ep 6 last night and the show is pretty meh.Umbrella Academy
Umbrella Academy
Umbrella Academy
My new favorite Netflix show.
I believe he did also. Outside of him most likely being a child rapist, man, he was a weird guy.He did it
Russian Doll is f***ing fantastic. The dialogue and symbolism are so rich. I loved both protagonistsRussian Doll
Some of the comedic material and delivery comes off strangely. However, after watching the first 2 episodes I feel the show is going to reveal a more serious tone and slow reveal explaining what is going on. Basically, the day keeps repeating, but there are hints of other things going on that may be related.
I also wonder if the lead actress' strong point is not this weird kind of comedy, but serious drama, and when the show shifts gears her acting will mesh with the show better.
The show has a strange start but might have potential.
EDIT: I watched 2 more episodes. The heavy handed humor has toned down and more twists to the story are coming in to the show.
EDIT EDIT: I finished Season 1. Pleasantly met some expectations. Leading character was overly quirky but balanced by the 2nd main uptight character.
The main theme of the show is the main character dies and repeats the day. I give the show credit for running far with this idea and evolving it. It is honestly like a much more sophisticated Groundhog Day situation with more more serious character development as well as consequences that carry over in loops. The show sets up a strange ending so I'm curious how that will resolve.
It's a looonnnngggg ride. I did it a few years back. A great ride nonetheless.I’m watching through the X-Files again on Prime. My wife has never seen it she’s hooked. We’re almost through the first season. While the effects are dated it actually looks nice remastered in HD and the characters and stories are still interesting.
