I just started using a mechanical keyboard using Cherry MX Brown switches today. Coming from a constantly malfunctioning wireless solar keyboard from Logitech, so far my impression is overwhelmingly positive. The tactile feeling that the keyboard gives me when I'm typing or gaming, snappy input speed coming from PS/2 port, and the sound is just a bliss to hear. It makes me wonder, how many of UVGFers are using mechanical keyboards of any type? Guess I want to share experiences.

I think most of the keyboards where I went to college where mechanical on Desktops. It is nicer if you're a student cranking out long essays.

Otherwise, I get by with my Netbook which I don't think is mechanical like that.

Wow, that didn't happen unless it's mid-80s. Or it's just a really rich enginnering school.

I have the BlackWidow 2013. Love it. Every time I type it makes me feel like an uber geek.

Yea I have a Corsair K70 or whatever. I like it but I'm not that picky anyways. My previous was a wireless MS one that I had abused so it needed to be replaced. Having a $100+ keyboard has made me stop abusing keyboards though so that's a positive.
