Wii Party U = Poor Choice in Download for Mario Kart 8.......

Call me misinformed, but no where did I see that I needed a Wii Motion controller to play this game...... Also I noticed the actual retail copy of this game includes the actual control........

Why in the world would Nintendo make this one of the downloadable games and not have some huge pop up message or warning stating that you MUST have a Wii Motion controller to play most of the games......


I'm about 99% sure most new people who bought a Wii U do not own a Wii Motion controller, hence the reason it's packaged with the actual retail version of the game.......

Should have just downloaded Zelda

Went to the store and bought 3 controllers so I can play with the family....... SMH

Awesome game though!!
 
Yeah, poor job by Nintendo. Should of had The Wonderful 101 or Lego City: Undercover as a replacement.
 
The Wonderful gods punish Wonderfully. You should have chosen Wonderful 101 and not make such a GeathJerk move. Oh well, Maybe in the future you will still play this fantastic game :).

And ontopic: I do concur a bit, but you could have guessed that a party title would require the Wii Motes.

Here in the States there's no option for Wonderful 101.

A week later my daughter still loves the games, great casual fun stuff. I also like the games as well, really nice

Yeah, I often really dislike Nintendo's differences per region like that. In Europe we have to pay more for Bayonetta if we want the first game as well, while in the US you get it free. They need to synchronise these things a bit.

I mean why not give the USA the same options when buying Mario Kart 8, it seems a bit poor in communication between your different offices. Still they do make fantastic games, and it seems your daughter agrees! :).
 
It was the only game I didn't have so I chose it. That said, I haven't redeemed the code yet so I may be too late anyways.
