Arkane Austin – This studio will close with some members of the team joining other studios to work on projects across Bethesda. Arkane Austin has a history of making impactful and innovative games and it is a pedigree that everyone should be proud of. Redfall’s previous update will be its last as we end all development on the game. The game and its servers will remain online for players to enjoy and we will provide make-good offers to players who purchased the Hero DLC.

Alpha Dog Studios – This studio will also close. We appreciate the team’s creativity in bringing Doom to new players. Mighty Doom will be sunset on August 7 and we will be turning off the ability for players to make any purchases in the game.

Tango Gameworks – Tango Gameworks will also close. We are thankful for their contributions to Bethesda and players around the world. Hi-Fi Rush will continue to be available to players on the platforms it is today.

Roundhouse Games – The team at Roundhouse Games will be joining ZeniMax Online Studios (ZOS). Roundhouse has played a key role in many of our recent game launches and bringing them into ZOS to work on The Elder Scrolls Online will mean we can do even more to grow the world that millions of players call home.

Maybe the employees are getting swallowed up into other studios? Dunno.

It didn't release on physical right? Guessing that took some sales away for the resale market and collectors.
 
You know, I have been there since day 1 with Xbox for 23 years. I have started to lose faith in them. I have never felt that way before, even during the Xbox One/Kinect days.

The Xbox show in June better be good. I do hope that some of the games are still exclusive.

I know these studios they just closed are indies, but what if they go after the big dogs?

I'm just playing the games on the systems I have. You can only support the smaller companies by buying the games the make. Everything else is business and out of your hands.

I mentioned this in a different post, but there was a recent rumor that MS is looking to get another Fallout game up and running ASAP while the show is still going. I think this is part of that - cut the smaller teams to ramp up Fallout 5 production. These teams were all within Bethesda and I don't think that is a coincidence.

Yeah, I like to think the studios closed but the employees are still employed.

The other thing we heard recently is that Todd Howard is staying. I'd like to see the announcement of a new Bethesda studio in the next few weeks, but I'm just gaslighting myself at this point.

Only two studios are being assimilated, in part or full.

And if MS had a clue they would have got a game ready for the shows release. Even if it was just remakes.

I do wonder what fans will feel at their fanfest. The times I’ve gone everyone is super excited and genuinely happy to be there. People I met from around the world, paying a lot just to attend, and there’s no trolls, just positive vibes with people interested in the future of Xbox. If I win I might make a shirt saying “rip hifi” but I’d be scared to wear it lol

Rumor is that the success of the show is a surprise to Amazon, so MS is probably equally surprised. It's one of the reasons all the episodes were released at once.
