Official Thread XBOX Hardware V2

Only twice, first time I didn’t know why, but second time it was synced to the other Xbox. Resyncing fixed it each time tho

Nothing to do with syncing to anything else for me. I can even turn on another controller and it'll do the same thing.

Lies.
It has happened to me a couple times. I just hold the button on the console to shut down then start it back up. No clue why it does it

That's what I did the first few times it happened to me. Even unplugged external hard drives thinking they were the issue. Each time it's happened, there was a controller update when I checked.

Anyone ever turn their console on using the controller and it just flashes repeatedly for over 3 minutes being completely unresponsive then turns itself off? The dashboard isn't frozen, things are still animating. The controller light flashes the same speed while updating the controller...which I eventually check after turning the controller back on and there's an update waiting.

Is it trying to auto update the controller and failing? It's annoying as hell and I've had it happen at least 10 times since owning the SX. I've never had it happen on the SS yet.
No

It is a syncing issue. The flashing is the controller searching for the Xbox. You have a wireless modem/router close to Xbox? Microwaves are well known for causing issue with wireless connections. Controller up to date?

Just re-sync the controller.

Also sometimes when I restart my console it’ll take minutes for it to get off the splash screen and actually boot up to the dashboard screen, I’ve also have had problems with the MS store not launching for weeks now from the dashboard or home button menus.

It's not the quick flashing like when you have to sync the controller. It's a slow flashing like when it is being updated. One of my routers is very close to the TV/consoles. If it needs synced, I don't know how I can turn the console on using the controller.

I've had that happen a few times as well. Never had any issues with the store other than not having enough money to buy what I want...

Do you have rechargeable batteries in your controller(s)? I've seen others mentioning that was their issue and it doesn't happen if i turn the console on with normal AA batteries in the controller.

I do use Energizer rechargeable AA batteries.

It won't quick flash because it knows it is synced it just can't find the console and will flash slow. It does allow console power on a lot of the time.

Idk what the real issue is. It happened 4 days in a row using a rechargeable battery pack. Removed it and installed standard Energizer batteries. Doesn't happen anymore.

Was it an off brand recharge pack? I had one in the 360 days and my controller would turn off if I held the controller flat enough.

I have issues every time there is a big update, I end up having to unplug the machine and that usually fixes it. It gets stuck at a certain percentage on the update and won't go beyond it until it's unplugged. The controller does the same thing you are describing, the light just flashes and eventually turns off.

I wonder why so many on forums want MS and Sony to do handhelds? Steam Deck has only sold like 3 million or so in 2 years, that's not really a success IMO.
Why did Jerry forget about the Switch. If MS and Sony did a handheld worth getting gamers would possibly buy it and use it as an alternative to their main console.

I want to see a dock that boosts performance substantially. As a handheld it could be just a step above ROG Ally boosted capabilities, but docked it has additional RAM, upscaling tech, etc.

Eneloops are beyond great. I think PV recommended them to me a few years ago. I've had mine for nearly 5 years and they're still holding on strong.

Well the refresh would just probably be smaller. But it’s a thing and all I see (from their court documents), besides the for factor, is additional updates to hardware like Bluetooth and WiFi .

If you just want to play it’s a good deal, I’d be tempted, kinda am 😆 but I’ll wait till June to see what’s involved. Then my excuse will be if I get it I can then give my series x to my niece, cos quick resume.

I am waiting to get the Pro too. Getting rid of all OG current gen hardware then start fresh 😃

You gonna keep your current ps5 or sell it to buy said pro? I’d give it to my niece but rarely use it, and if they do it’s for fortnite or Minecraft. One is hooked on cocoon, fuga and bioshock 😆
