Interesting to see after only being out a month how well the Xbox One X is performing. I wonder what it will be like after another year of development time for developers?

If I had known, I might have watched. I actually am one of the few people who liked the game apparently, even if Dennis Dyack is a steaming pile of turd.
So I remember when the BC for Xbox was announced and how it would benefit gamers by offering the games free with the purchase of the newest version. Like buy Gears of War 4 and get Gears 1-3 free. Or buy Rainbow Six Siege and get Rainbows Six Vegas 2 free.

It was not really a benefit so much as it was just something publishers could toss in as an incentive.

I imagine it will resurface with Crackdown 3, but obviously it depends on what is BC and what isn't. Maybe Shadow of the Tomb raider will come with TR: Legends, Underworld and Anniversary.
Personally i see Gears 1-3 & J being bundled with every future gears game (and G4 being a GWG in 2019). After a decade.....well there will be gamers in 2019 who weren't even born when Gears 1 released and people will need that to get the overarching plot. Same with Halo, it's the incentive to fix the MCC.
Maybe when too deep in this generation where it's not needed to bolster a game library? Seems like a good mix of developers are more inclined to do remasters/remakes than add BC support.

I would really like to play Crackdown 1 again and I never played CD2. Hopefully a GwG before CD3 releases.

Its pretty much more of the same. Same city design, but its in ruins.
IMO CD 2 has better melee combat, wingsuit, rocket boots, orb ping, quidditch orbs, more varied enemies, helicopters and more varied mission design. It also has 4 player co-op and 16 player deathmatch.
All CD 1 has is transforming vehicles.

Mario 2 was Nintendo's first foray into taking a random game and then replacing all of the characters with Nintendo characters and everyone gobbling it up. I must say, it's my retroactive hot take after learning that USA never got the real Mario Bros 2 because Nintendo thought everyone over here was too dumb to play it, so they took some random ass game that nobody would have ever bought and then changed the sprites to Mario stuff. After seeing the real Mario Bros 2 I feel like my childhood has been robbed. If you think about it, absolutely f***ing nothing in the game makes sense, most gameplay ideas from this game don't leave this game and then it has the '...it was all a dream' ending. 
Zelda 2 though... I'll pass on that all day everyday and twice on Sunday.
Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, Dead Space 3 and Halo Reach are also a s***ty sequels.
