Well yes. In say TDM in COD, I get knocked out, as it makes sense. For me it works great for any game that doesn't have an online component, and often works even for those that do.

I think everyone knows this and Phil/MS have even spoken about this. The console is an option. PS doesn't want it to be an option, they want you to own it, otherwise you'll see Day 1 releases on PC too. This is standard knowledge on these forums.
When has quick resume not worked for you? Works flawlessly here.
As you can see here on Union, no problems. The only time I see complaints is at PS centric blogs, forums and social media. I wouldn't worry about it then.I keep reading about it not working for some and crashing. But like I said, it's a convenience factor to me.
Quick Resume with online/multiplayer games is a developer specific problem, not Xbox/Microsoft.
When the game resumes, just about all existing network sockets are invalid as a TCP connection state is impossible to maintain during that time, the remote server won't acknowledge any such old connections that have long since timed out. When the resume state is called, the game needs to clean up any old these old connections and reset back to a clean slate for the user/UI, and pull down any new service updates or MOTDs if it's in an appropriate place to do so.
He doesn't have an Xbox to try it.When has quick resume not worked for you? Works flawlessly here.
Convenience/ease of use, plug and play and forget, affordability, playing it on a large screen with surround sound.Yes so with MS/Phil supporting this even more now , I feel for some with already a gaming PC, what would make them want to get the console too ? Living room experience ? Maybe but for now doesn't seem to be a priority as the PS5 is already there and every Xbox exclusive and Gamepass perks are all on the Ultimate package too.

We know you’ll never own a Series console. You don’t have to keep hammering that nail. Play your PC and move on.Out of those probably only the large screen OLED experience

Sure.Probably not this gen if they don't do a mid gen refresh. Or if their next console comes out to be more powerful than a 4080 then I'll consider it.

Wonder how many times they practiced that so it what’s the right side up
That is a nice umbrella.
He needs to know that I see his trolling attempts. You guys are so mean to DriedMangoes though, I don't undertand why? (lol)

Think of it as like when a child starts testing boarders, and the older sibling just punches them in the face.
It's out of love.
That's in the states right? It's a very aggressive move considering it's even lower than Black Friday. Think MS is experimenting on seeing how low they need to go to start outselling the competition. Seems like $350 is the sweet spot for the XSX when going against the $499 PS5 (bundled w game)
That's in the states right?
Woah, just checked and the XSX is $499 in Canada ($150 off)
That's a steal!
And I'm trying to take in this discussion about quick resume......
I turned it off and it still takes seconds to get into Forza..and also get an option to hit the > button to "quick resume" but it loads so fast I don't have the time to do it,
So it really doesn't matter.
Huh,It's actually an extra $30 off if you buy in-store at GameStop. Great deal for those interested. So $469.99 for a XSX brand new.
Huh,
That does make you wonder right?
I mean that's a massive price drop for a console that went UP in price here in Canada just a few months ago........
I'll let you speculate haha. Dang that is a good deal you sure you don't want an XSX?
I mean that's the price of an i7 or a low end graphics card......... pretty much........
I'd recommend getting one anyway, despite your new PC.Yes it does , I think the recent sales data from Black Friday has MS wanting to get more of the XS consoles in people's homes hence the attractive pricing.
If I didn't get a new PC in October with the 13700kf/4080 I would be leaning heavily towards getting this deal !

It's a pleasure to just fire up a no fuss console and the XSX is a beast.
But what I think Microsoft is up to is the very obvious, and we could all see them heading this way for a decade I'd say.
They are buying up publishers and building a "Netflix" type gaming service.
Imagine Game Pass on other stuff? That could happen.
