You would think they would do free play days for games that are not in Game Pass.
Was reading the rumor about the two supposed consoles MS is going to announce, 4TF and 12TF doesn't make sense, what's the point in that? I could see maybe a One X with a new CPU so it could run the games at a lower res and level of detail but a 4TF machine? Are they just going to be doing current gen graphics checkerboarded and then just offering the same current gen games with the graphical upgrades they get now and 4K? I would think you'd want a console that could do upgraded graphics checkerboarded and then one that can do it at a higher res with even more upgrades, with a 4TF GPU you won't get that. I'm also still not buying the SSD thing but we'll see, a 1tb NVMe SSD is a lot more expensive than a 4TB HDD.
This rot hurrr^^The 4TF machine is for 1080p and to be cheaper. If the rumored specs are correct the key to all this is the CPU being the same in both. It allows you for the most part to run everything the same except resolution.
Nope. X will remain in circulation for a while after. You honestly shouldnt need to upgrade until well into next gen starts if I'm being honest. And you can play Anaconda games on the X too, if Phil is to be believed.Would they just faze out the X?

You should be able to play Scarlett games on the X according to Phil. Hence the "family of devices." I think the only machine that wont be able to stay in the family is the OG Xbox One. If I understand it correctly, thats the version that will be left behind. I think they even stopped making the OG Xbox OneIf you could play next gen games on the X then they aren't next gen, the CPU isn't going to be a match for what goes into the new machines. I've never seen him say that old consoles will always work I've just seen him say that your games should work going forward meaning newer consoles will continue to be BC. I'm guessing X1 games will be fully BC with the new gen unlike 360 games which aren't all BC on the X1.

If Xbox V games play on Xbox S.....ripYou should be able to play Scarlett games on the X according to Phil. Hence the "family of devices." I’d imagine it will be like the start of this gen. Cross gen games for a year or two then the devs will phase the older consoles out. Devs won’t be pushing the new consoles until well into the next gen anyway like every other generation.
Do you expect SONY to drop the PS4 completely when next gen comes around? What about people who recently bought a PS4 pro?
No and I already said that we'll see cross gen games, McMasters was saying he believes that you'll be able to play next gen xbox games on the One X, playing a cross gen game on the one x is different than playing a game designed for the new console on the old one.
Any reason ever given for the Hotline Miami games not coming to Xbox?
If a game is made for PC then it should be a push of a button to put it on Xbox. Xbox is Windows 10.My guess they didn’t have time and or funds to work on/for multiple consoles.
I see indie or third party devs always say they can’t work on more then one because they don’t have the resources to release the game at the same time for multiple consoles....but why can’t they just release it then at a later date. Yeah, I know sometimes there’s stipulations to release and indie game but what’s third parties reasoning?
