[Xbox One] Battlefield 4 = Constantly Crashing horrible Online.......

I haven't played in about a week (work, school) and finally today I had a little window to relax and every game online is now crashing and experiencing very bad lag. before the update this rarely happened, also this is how it was on the PS4 so I was happy that Xbox One ran better...... Now it's the same thing.

Truly disappointed......... Dice/Ea what's happening.......

They shoulda opted to use MS's cloud. Hopefully they learned their lesson and will be on board next time around.

Trade it in for the PS4 version. It runs better now than the Xbox one version according to those with both on the BF forums (and it has a higher resolution and a more solid frame rate to boot). Also there are a lot more people playing online on PS4 (http://bf4stats.com).
 
Played four hours on the X1 last night without a single disconnection
 
I noticed the game was getting an update today, so I figured I'd try the game out again and see how it's holding up:

-Game crashed to dashboard 4 times in a row, while loading up BF4.
-Game finally loads up, go to Quickplay "Conquest"... crashes to dash.
-Game loads up, message pops up, some about not getting the commander slot.
-Try to Quickplay Conquest again, error "Failed to join the game. Please check your network connection and try again."
-Trying one more time, looks like I'm in a game now. Game ends 5 seconds later. I lose.

Played one game. I'll wait for the next update to try again.

yep.. mine patched tonight before i was showing BF off to my cousin. Prior to this, no issues. tonight, my game save is gone, my online matches constantly dump to the dashboard, and the lag is horrendous.

Funny I traded in my PS4 version tonight so that I could use the trade in value to buy MS points to get premium for my Xbone version because I find it to be the more stable of the two.

the patch that they just released, broke my game. literally ZERO issues pre patch
 
I can only imagine what it must be like every day at the DICE studio this past week or so. I can imagine it must be utter chaos. These devs definitely aren't getting much sleep.

I'm real close, real close....... Might just buy it for my Computer (iMac and put Windows on it)

Like Honestly I didn't really have problems before the patch on Xbox One ( I did on Ps4) and now this.......

I'm no network programer , but you would think EA with all of it's resources and Money they made should hire who they need to help Dice fix this...... So in the meantime I was playing the single player (mind you I never play single player) and outside of the graphics the game is pretty bad. Horrible AI and enemies just pop up out of nowhere and see you when you know damn well that's impossible.

Battlefield 4 was my last hope, I might just hang it up for a while. Sell My Xbox One and just buy a Ps3 and deal with the lower quality graphics but at least it appears to be stable and there are a lot of good games for the system.

If cloud computing can prove its worth, XBOX one can actually be a better choice for MP focus games.
 
Played two more hours tonight and she ran flawless except getting the no commander slots message once but it went into the game the second button press.
 
I've barely played it. DICE is slipping badly. It happened too much with Bf 3 on PC , where the game would crash to the desktop. Very annoying and I don't expect this kind of thing on a console.

I only have this and RYSE currently. At least I really like RYSE...
 
This thread needs merged with other one.....bf4 has gotten worse for me also post patch
 
The game ran flawlessly before. I have tried it since the patch.

Really wish Dice had gone with Azure
 
this might be the last DICE game I will be getting, they had a good run but its cause way to many problem, this goes back to BF3 as well.

I still say that BFBC2 was their best game.

Seriously though, it's simply the fact that EA has horrible servers that they never care to fix (voted worst company in America) & DICE asked for more time to work on BF4, but EA declined & wanted to meet a ship date instead. GameInformer.com said it best:

EA and DICE traded in their reputations to make the ship date.

I own both versions as some of you guys do as well and I own Cod on both and BF4 is phenomenal but it takes 10 attempts now to find a game on the Xbox One which is frustrating. On the Ps4 I prefer the smoother frame rate and resolution. I find it easier to spot long distance targets.

I was 40/10 the other night 10k points right near the end and a ton of ribbons and awards on the Ps4 bang dashboard crash. So fckuing annoying . It's not putting me off playing I accept the teething problems but I can see
Why everyone is so annoyed.
I bought premium on the Xbox One but have not played in one game in the new maps with players. Servers are always 0/64 or 0/32 . I want to buy it (premium )on the Ps4 but am gonna wait. I believe in the MP its amazing when it works. But I must admit the Ps4 pisses me off because I keep saying 'Xbox. Record that' then realise it can't lol.

Great game probably the worst MP Crashes I experienced in 10 years of online gaming. As soon as I played BF4 and Killzone MP. I sold Killzone immediately on eBay. Whether it every beats Cod I don't know but it has surely lost alo of potential customers with BF5 .

The way this has gone down reminds me of what us Europeans go through with Pes and Fifa every year. Konami always promise so much . The demos are excellent but retail is a cluster f*** online of crashes and bugs . Only EA are on the other end this time.

When I finally get to connect I experience the same. I love the game but it's a mess. I'm unable to play china rising. I unistalled the whole game along with the china rising add on to then reinstall it hoping all would be good,now it's not even showing that I'm able to download china rising add on and my whole campaign on hard mode has been wiped out. This game should have been delayed like watch dogs
 
And post patch, I have just discovered my saved game in Campaign is now gone. The patch was meant to fix this. Instead it gave the actual problem. Thanks Dice. Now I have start the entire story again.

Same here. I was all set and ready to play the Campaign the other night when I noticed my progress was gone. I wasn't that far along in the story, but it's still frustrating. I went and played Dead Rising instead and forgot all about Battlefield.
 
Game crashed like 5 times for me today and the xb1 party system is garbage
 
I have to ask why hasn't dice simply reverted to a back up copy at this point... It was working better before...
