Xbox One Day One edition back in stock at Best Buy.

MS has been amazing as refilling their preorder stock. This is like the 5th time they have done it with Best Buy and they just refilled the GS stock a few days back that lasted about an hour before it was sold out again. I doubt this stock will last very long either.

The GS stock was re-allocations I believe, not new allocations (from what I gather from Union members that are also GS employees. Best Buy could be new allocations, or it could be re-allocations from cancelled pre-orders, or from the company cancelling multiple orders.

Compared to last console launch, both have been extremely effective in keeping up with demand. Xbox 360's launch was terrible in comparison. My preorder wasn't even shipped to me till the January of the next year.

I remember the conspiracies that went around during the Xbox 360 launch that they were purposely limiting supply to increase demand or some crap.

Can any one prove that? Doubtful. I would say they are new allocations to keep up with demand. That makes the most sense.

Thanks for the post, just secured a Day One edition with store pick up!

So does this mean people are cancelling their pre-orders of the X1?

or...OR...we could stop being a negative nancy and take the position that MS has kicked their production in to overdrive in order to fill unexpected demand.....flip a coin.

Since these new preorders are for pickup only, I'd say they are new allocations, not people cancelling preorders. Just a common sense perspective.

That works too. It was just a question.

This good news for those who still want a day one edition.

Best Buy doing what they do best. Delivering for the customers.

I thought what they did best was say "Would you like to apply for a Best Buy Credit card and get $20 off", quickly followed up with, "Your $120 HDMI cord qualifies for an extended warranty, it is only $30 would you like me to add that to your total?"

Well to be fair..if someone is buying a $120 HDMI cord then they deserve to be ripped off :p

There I fixed it for you:p

But seriously, they have serious HDMI cable bling at Best Buy. Crazy stuff like gold plated conductor surfaces, with kevlar insulator shielding.

Best Buy has a limited amount of Xbox One "Day One," editions available for pre-order! Day One editions are the launch ones. You better hurry as quantities are severely limited!

Best Buy

THANKS ACE!!!

Just preordered, thought I would have to wait until February’ish

LOL yeah, I used to work for FutureShop as a merchandiser... those $100+ monster cables have a cost of like $15 lol

I wonder if these new orders are other pre orders that got cancelled

It could be alot of things- MS production yields could be higher than they originally projected. Either from overly conservative estimates, or better than expected production.

It could be cancelled orders that Best Buy is reallocating. I do not see Amazon with additional day one editions open and if MS had better than expected production, i would think they would have provided more across the board.

Or a number of other things. Frankly, we won't know why. Xbox fans would say one thing, and Sony fans would say another. The important thing for gamers is that if you want one early, this is your second chance.

If November 22nd wasn't so close to Christmas time, I would probably pick another one of these bad boys up just so I could sell it. But my wallet doesn't think that's such a good idea unfortunately.

I believe i'll have one extra and i am starting to think its a bad idea to keep the pre-order on it. If you can get a day one on Best Buy now, and you can get the standard edition on Amazon still. I don't know if buying one for that purpose it worth the risk. You could always pre-order one and give it 2-3 weeks to see what the market it then.

Does best buy charge the credit card now if I pre-ordered?

They charge as a hold to make sure funds are there...then you should have the money back in 7 days and they won't recharge until you pick up.

Yep! Gotta bring in your order number, charge card used for pre-order and your ID. Can't wait!!!
