Wich one of those consoles have the most raw power? I know PS4 is more powerful then Xbox One but is Xbox One S more powerful then PS4?

Kinda hard to find any information about that.

I know for instance that Microsoft said that there would not be any difference performance vise between Xbox One and Xbox One S but XO S have more frames per seconds in games...

The PS4 is more powerful in GPU, RAM. The Xbox One S is more powerful in the CPU. However, the ESRAM in the Xbox One S makes up for some performance deficiency, but not enough to overcome the PS4 advantage.

In terms of raw power

Current gen
PS4 - 1.8 TFlops
Xbox One S - 1.4 TFlops
Xbox One - 1.3 TFlops

Mid-gen refresh
PS4 Pro (2016) - 4 TFlops
Xbox Scorpio (2017) - 6 TFlops

Isn't power in the eyes of the beholder?

With great power comes great responsibility.

These consoles do not have great power, however, so feel free to do whatever.

Oh! I recently bought a Xbox One S, I have had the PS4 since launch day, but i thought Xbox One S had more raw power then the PS4...it kinda felt like that when i chose resolution on the interface, UHD 4K.

You learn something new everyday. (almost =])

No but next years Scorpio will be the most powerful console around

Until Scorpio drops the PS4/PS4 Pro is the most powerful console on the market.

Surprised how civil this thread is still...
We are all just getting old....

Oh, you've had work done! You look like a b**** Barbara Walters.

For some reason, I actually picture you looking like your avatar. Oblong too.
I wish kvalley looked like that! He looks more like kenny Chesney if I recall... oblong looks exactly like his avatar except his line width is a bit more varied in real life.

As a beholder of both, not an S, or a Pro, there's no comparison in the games I've compared. Battlefield 1 is another shining example of the power difference. It's noticeable. So much so that I'm foaming at PC gaming and want to pull the trigger on a i7, 1070, and Oculus Rift, bad. Very bad.

The real "power" is being able to get both S and Slim with free games for under $500 this buying season. That's a lot of great exclusives, and the "power" of choosing whichever version of multi-plats that floats your boat. I went ahead and got the Pro for a little more. Why not? Power to the People!

It's actually shockingly good looking.
So, I'm thinking of selling my code for BF1: Xbox One, since I haven't used it yet. Does the PS4 Pro version sing at 1080p? I think I read that there was improved frame rate.

*cough* Wait till the real 4K arrives*cough*

:tounge:

It will look better no doubt, I'll be shocked if it's native 4k 60fps in multiplayer. The jump to pro from ps4 is way beyond what I expected though and it was almost nothing to upgrade to pro after I sold my games and old ps4.

Like PV, i've also played a lot of games on both. The PS4 is more powerful but i don't feel like there's a big difference overall. Same as last gen when 360 edged out PS3. Games like Call of Duty and NBA 2K17 look cleaner on PS4 without a doubt. Sometimes Xbox One versions of games have better frame rate. Unless it's Fallout 4 which dipped to a record 0 fps on X1.

In terms of raw power, PS4 is better. But the overall package of X1 is much better. PS4 games may have slightly better res, but often X1's frame rate and AF may be a touch better.

X1 also can play a lot of BC 360 games, and has better online and a better controller. X1 S can also play 4k UHD discs.
