Xbox One Screenshot Feature Shown Off by Phil Spencer

Making videos on the X1 is a PITA and it looks like taking screenshots will be the same way. They should've implemented something as simple as the way the PS4 can do it. I don't have Kinect, so making video clips is just a waste of time.

How are people(without Kinect) gunna take action shots with this set up? Should have been done by pressing the select and start buttons together or something.

Its shows on the screen shot, double tap the centre logo button and then press Y

by the time you do that the action moment will have gone. Unless they expect you to play with that snapped, which is lame.

Not sure what you want to use it for? Its meant for stills and not for moment in motion. For the later there is the DVR feature.

any moment is a still when taking a picture. I want to take action shots.

Yea the share button on PS4 is nice although I very rarely use it. Pretty much the only time I did was when the PS4 first launched to take pics of games but otherwise meh. Don't really use the clips on the Xbox either.

I think it's meant for still pics. It would be cool though if they had a feature where you could snap a pic from the frames of your recorded vids.

i'd assume that when you press the big button, that anything your viewing at that time (game, dvr etc) will then just require a press of Y to take that screen shot.

You know you don't have to wait for the interface to pop-up to use the 'record that' function, right? Just input the commands, go about your day. It takes about half of a second, just assume there is an input buffer.

Guide - Guide - Y or Guide - Guide - X

I can only assume the screen shot function works exactly the same way.

The features keep on coming. It's getting to a point there aren't many improvements left to add!

Any word on a Kinect command to do it? It would be way more useful to take shots from videos as was said.
