Everwilds looks like the game Xbox needs.
You best get used to it. All first party games will be going that way eventually. And that isn't good. It's great that the Yakuza games are coming to Xbox, those of you that like old school sort of brawler/beat 'em up kind of games and don't have a PlayStation should give them a try.
I read Everwild is another GaaS title and if that's true is highly disappointing.

Funny thing is, the best live service I have seen thus far is on Playstation. GT Sport seems to be the only AAA dev that gets it. Compare what they did to what Forza has done, or SoT, oe Battlefield 5, or Division 2.When you launch all of your games on a cheap subscription service you have to find a way to monetize the new releases and so far doing it though MP seems to be the only way they can think of to get it done. I would never have put my new games on there day 1 if I were MS, I know they want the service to take off but it really does make it so that every game will either have to focus on some kind of service set up or contain MP with a lot of microtransactions. I have a feeling any single player story driven experiences will be AA quality at best and probably come from their smaller studios.

you still have to purchase dlc though, like Forza horizon car packs or lego
The game Everwild is being reported as NOT a GAAS like Sea of Thieves and is a AAA action adventure.
This, IMO, was actually better than E3 this year, even with the psycho commentators. When they said games, games, games again, they were not kidding. That seems to be ALL they are focused on now. Nintendo and MS are in a games frenzy.
Where have you heard this? I've heard the opposite, albeit from sources not exactly in love with Microsoft.
Not exactly specific is it. "Not neccissarily" means might not be a Gaas game....or in simpler terms, they have no clue.Tom Warren (who interviewed MS):
Rare unveils Everwild, a new exclusive game for Xbox and Windows 10
The Banjo-Kazooie creator is back with a new Microsoft exclusivewww.theverge.com
Rare’s previous Xbox One and Windows 10 exclusive, Sea of Thieves, launched last year and the team will continue to work on it and provide updates. It’s fair to say it wasn’t a smash hit, but it also wasn’t a flop either. Sea of Thieves now has a dedicated community of players, but Rare is clearly keen to try something new with Everwild that’s not necessarily as service-driven as Sea of Thieves.
Well Tom was there interviewing. PS fans like JinCA have been calling it a GAAS game because they haven't been there. Not exactly specific is it. "Not neccissarily" means might not be a Gaas game....or in simpler terms, they have no clue.
And yet the interviewer doesn't know one way or the other.Well Tom was there interviewing. PS fans like JinCA have been calling it a GAAS game because they haven't been there.
You thinking it was "console warz" is even funnier. And yet the interviewer doesn't know one way or the other.
Jinca said he read it was GaaS.
You read an article that is not definitive either way and trying to claim it isn't GaaS..
Implying he said that cause "console Warz" after what you did is pretty funny.
I don't. you clearly do going by your redundant labels. You thinking it was "console warz" is even funnier.
We trust Tom Warren over the PS fans that JinCa follows on Twitter.
I am waiting to hear it from MS. Not Twitter users. You can trust whoever you want. But he isn't telling you anything other than "might not be." Which means it could be.
And yet. It seems twitter users know as much as your trusted source Tom Warren.I am waiting to hear it from MS. Not Twitter users.
Or they don't....And yet. It seems twitter users know as much as your trusted source Tom Warren.
So we agree that we don't agree on agreeing. They both don't know. So, yeah, they do.
