With all the hoopla with the frame rate thread about compression and YT clips, can anyone explain this though.....
- In the early stages of YT it was 360p and 480p feeds
- They added 720p
- They added 1080p
- They added 720p/1080p at 60 fps not long ago
What I don't get is sometimes I watch an HD clip at 720p or 1080p, but it looks worse than a DVD quality 480p mode. I'm assuming the guy uploading his feed is using an HD device, so wouldn't 720p and/or 1080p mode look better than 480p mode as the feed is normalized for the higher setting?
Is it a YT issue? Or the user messing up his upload?
It's not just everyday joe guys. This also happens to IGN or big name site feeds.
