Cheques will be cut for sure. I just don't see any reason why it would be any different to previous generations.
I mean, "a LOT" of complaints over the other console getting a disproportionate number of exclusives? Why would either console get this huge payload this gen and not previous gems?
Why would people complain? The majority of console owners get their consoles after the library looks good. Early adopters might complain, but I'd say a lot of early adopters have or will have both consoles anyway.
Yeah, the "complain' thing came from someone else (edit: jsgiv). He's just speculating or predicting. A lot of people speculate and predict stuff. We'll just have to wait and see how things play out. Personally, my prediction/speculation is that MS buys up some exclusives, PS4 owners will respond in a lot of different ways:
- minimize the value of the game (it's not that good, not that big a deal, past its prime, whatever)
- talk about how MS is "money hatting" to gain an unfair advantage
- accept it, though they don't like it (every one-console owner misses out on some games; that's just the way it goes)
- buy an X1 because they really love the game (the MS-approved option)
- anger and/or complaining because they no longer have access to the game
- shrug their shoulders because it wasn't their style of game in the first place
Same ways they've responded in previous generations, as you said. Some will complain, some will shrug, etc. I agree with you, it's not going to be much different this time around.
