Digital unlocks at 12:01 am November 11th EST. For me that is tonight at 10:01pm!!

Most Gamestops will sell the disc tonight at midnight and then you will need to DL the 15gb patch for multi player.

Thanks I preordered it digitally just making sure it unlocked at midnight est and not have to wait until it's midnight in California

Wait, your wife is so good at making cakes that she teaches classes about them? You live a rough life, hrudey. ;)

It's tough, but we've all got our crosses to bear.

And I kind of think I'm going to end up playing a little tonight or before going to work tomorrow. Or maybe just letting the theme song run. :)

If the unlock time doesn't vary by region, it's seven and a half hours from now. I know at least all of North America unlocks on East Coast time for this, but I don't know about Europe.

Sounding like it might be a bit half baked with matchmaking issues and Halo 1 issues.

I wouldn't worry about the match making at all.

The people complaining are a very tiny fraction of gamers that lucked into an early copy. The servers are not populated at all, considering the only people that are playing it right now are reviewers, pro halo players and lucky bastards, the player pool is limited.

There is literally no people to be matched with unless someone drops out of a match and that will be an issue up until the game goes live for everyone else.

I will be playing H2 Anniversary campaign right off the bat. (Maybe will do the first level of H4 to see how that looks now after doing the Earth levels on H2).

What will you guys be doing first?

Living in Korea, I have already played the game for 3 hours before going to bed.

- 60 frames per second makes a huge difference. Trust me.
- Game looks great. Maybe not the best graphics in current hardware, but it still looks awesome.
- Upgrade gfx means that it exposes all the design flaws of the games in a plain light. I played the first section of New Mombasa and I was getting really angry when I got to around seventh wave of enemies in the same spot. Such design was prevalent in both CE and H2. That made me remember how better H3 and 4 got in terms of campaign design, and lower the difficulty from heroic to normal. Never realized how brutal Heroic difficulty is until now.

Hopefully but its out in Europe and still doesn't sound like its working. I am just going to expect the worst. Its easier that way.

When I start playing I'll be doing Halo 1 first thing, followed by all the campaigns in order. MP will be thrown in the mix when I feel like it though.

I remember thinking heroic was easy back in the day, that sh1t will probably eat my lunch now, I'm such a watered down gamer now

Hit by plasma rifle bullet 3 times and your shield is completely depleted. I'm sure that I won't finish the game at this rate. What a wimp I have become.

Damn, that is brutal. All I remember is the legendary jackal snipers later in the game, thats some dark souls difficulty right there, or worse. We're all watered down brah, no worries. This game will remind us.

Ive been through all of them less than a year ago solo on legendary. I should be good to go. I can't wait to see how it feels a 60fps.

Eurogamer gives Halo MCC 9/10. DAT is an 11 in the real world. Holy crap...

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-11-10-halo-the-master-chief-collection-review

All this is worth mentioning for two reasons: partly to justify the amount of time I've spent over the last week looking at walls, but also to give context to the fact that the Master Chief Collection is, above all, an act of curation. There's something exhibit-like and deeply impressive about seeing Halos one through four lined up in the same menu system - not separated into discrete applications, but linked through a tidy and sophisticated interface that brings everything together and, as far as possible, standardises the Chief's adventure. A mission playlist offers pre-selected or self-programmable mixtapes of all four games. Multiplayer features playlists built around cross-generational game types - Slayer, Oddball - as well as the four titles themselves, making it possible to jump from Cold Storage to Beaver Creek to Guardian in a three-match streak. The stuff of dreams.

Whatever else might be in included in the Master Chief Collection, that feeling is at the heart of the game: it is a remembrance of things past, and those things are not as they were. The Collection is an instantaneous embrace of past and present that combines gaming's powerful sense of nostalgia with its perpetual arms race of processing and graphical power. It is part of a growing appreciation of the past in a medium which until recently was resolutely forward-looking. Proust would bloody love it.

Sounds good, but i don't buy into these reviews, not enough time to play through that sh1t, and isn't the CE multiplayer unavailable online atm?

Do you even review bro?

I can't beat H2 on legendary. I probably died 50-75 times during that jackal valley sniper area and just gave up.

I only do legendary in co-op. For me, I'll probably just be doing normal for this collection. Want to just enjoy it, haha.

Same here. I can't decide if i'm going to jump on this right away or save it for next month though. I'm kind of in a CoD, GTA V, sports games mode this month. Halo: MCC is four whole games.. So many games, so little time. I hate starting games without giving them my full attention, lol.
