I remember when my uncle introduced me to this classic game:

Pretty much my first RTS game. Loved it to death.

And then there was the time when a friend of mine kept beating opponent after opponent at Street Fighter II. One dude wanted to physically fight my friend out of frustration. My friend ended up taking him to the ground and put him in a headlock until he gave up. That was the first time I ever saw MMA haha.

Daytona USA, Happy Hampton Arcade at Hampton Beach! They had probably 20 of those things linked up, what a good time my friends and I had with that game!! I loved shifting down just right and hitting that turn perfect on the easy track.

Street Fighter 2 and the original Mortal Kombat were two others I had a lot of fun with in the arcades.

I had a winning streak against the Arcade Clerk on Killer Instinct who kept using free games against me because he had the key to the cabinet.

I beat him 20 times in a row with Fulgore.

Staying up all night playing Defender with my friends in the dorms. We were invariably stoned. We would tape a quarter to a string and dangle it in the machine, so we got free credits. We'd get 99 free credits and play all night. I really had good hand-eye reflexes back then, and I played some amazing games. Very fun.

Sitting in class one day talking to a friend bout going to the local arcade after school. This kid sitting beside me, who's new to town, over heard us and asks if he can go too. He shows up at my house with the biggest zip-lock bag full of quarters, which were gone in prolly 10 mins of gaming. To this day he's still one of my best friends.

Hell yeah, Happy Hampton was the bomb, that's where we'd hang back in the day. Either that or go slumming down to Salisbury Beach, they had some good Arcades down there too, like Joes Playland.

Spent quite a bit of time on this with friends in the chip shop. lot's of fun with three of you.

Only arcade games in my town was at the bowling alley. Area 51 was the best as well as a kick ass pinball machine. I remember playing a Die Hard game as well but don't remember if it was there or not.

I'm too young for this stuff I think. I've never really even been in an arcade. At least not one that has all these awesome cabinets.

When this came out at the local arcade...the year was 1983 and I was 8 years old. Everyone was blown away by it.

I remember Dragon's lair being so popular you couldn't see the screen through the crowd, so they added a second TV to the top of the cabinet for spectators.

I also had 2 or 3 birthday parties at the Arcade in elementary school. For $5 a kid you would get unlimited tokens for an hour - they didn't work on the newest games but we could all pile around Sunset Riders, X-men, Turtles in Time, or Revenge of the Death Adder and go to town.

A lot of great games already mentioned, but more of my favorites:

-John Elway's Quarterback (with the little stick that you used to throw the ball)
-Cyberball (4 person was amazing)
-Afterburner
-Spy Hunter

Nice to see some on here familiar with happy Hampton, good times down there back in the day. I went to Salisbury beach as well

I remember this and being amazed by it but was to small to reach from the seat at the time.

720 skate or die.....one of my favorite all time games.

Kind of rings a bell. Do you know if it were available in the UK or not?

Maybe there was a pc version...aha maybe I'd seen it in Orlando when I was a wee pup.
