" Contrary to expectations, Bond says, monthly plans get customers to spend more. A Game Pass subscription leads to about 20% more playing time. Users sample a wider variety of genres, and they generate 20% more in sales, both on titles not included in the plan and on extras such as downloadable content. Game Pass helped increase revenue for Xbox content and services by 65% in the most recent quarter. “People make this assumption that if you have a subscription, you stop buying games,” Bond says, but the opposite is true. "
" This fall it’s tripling the number of countries where it sells what it calls All Access, which gives customers a new console and a Game Pass subscription for a monthly fee that’s currently $20 to $25, similar to cellphone contracts that periodically give you a new handset. The company says deals with Walmart Inc. and Target Corp. will help boost sales of All Access. "
I wonder if they lawfully could've f***ed Sony with The Outer Worlds if they wanted to? They have enough money to do goodwill here though and maybe they got a piece of the money?Someone needs to tell Microsoft they're supposed to have no games. Literally in the past two weeks, they've released two games (on Gamepass, no less) that were a 92 and 86 metacritic when I just checked. Granted, one's on PC until they get a series X version done (Flight Simulator) and the other is multiplat because of a pre-existing commitment (Wasteland 3), but MS is putting out some quality stuff right now. Makes it more frustrating that 343 seems to be out of sorts, though.
Gamepass is hitting hard right now for me. While Battletoads was a nice time waster, Wasteland 3 and Crusader Kings 3 are going to own a bunch of my time.
86 isn't that good. If it doesn't get atleast 99 then it doesn't count.Someone needs to tell Microsoft they're supposed to have no games. Having games just come to PC is really annoying.

Wait your son just stays isolated unless ya'll leave the house?I rarely get to actually play on my X1X now, though - hell, my teenager gets more X1X time than I do and he only comes out when my wife, the 9 year old and I go out to eat - so games coming to the PC version means I get to play them at least on weekends and the occasional evening when we're planning on catching up on game 5 of the Avs-Stars but I already know the final score and the Xfinity recording can't adjust for the fact that the damn Bruins-Lightning went to two OT so we missed the first period. (That made sense when I typed it, but some 12-year-aged Scotch is asserting itself on my functionality so I can barely see straight, let alone think straight so if I'm less sensical than our boy Shawn Jelsic at least I'm enjoying the f*** out of it).
