Thief getting 15-minute demo right before VGX
December 3rd, 2013 Posted in 360, News, PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox One | No Comments »
Square Enix will be showing an extensive look at Thief just prior to VGX on Saturday. According to the game’s official Twitter account, the game will be featured for a 15-minute demo.

That sounds and weird and honestly very unexpected if you ask me. These things like Party Chat and how smooth it all works has been a freaking given on Xbox 360 for years now, how did they not bring this over to X1 smoothly? The X1 ain't out in my country until god knows when in 2014, but i sure do expect to play Titanfall while talking to all my friends in a Party Chat. If not...sorry that would be ridiclous.
I hear ya man, I know the party chat is not at my end and it's pretty widespread. I'm not sure why they messed with the 360 party system because it was brilliant. If it aint broke don't fix it....now they gottta fix it cos they messed with it.

Not sure if this was brought up, but I think IGN finally put TeamXbox to bed.

Looks exactly like IGN forums as well.

Looks normal to me.

yes, but would you take one over every other console?
Its all in how you sak the question in a survey.
ex: What's the the one console you are wanting to buy.
If you own any console the question automatically takes those out. So if a lot of people own a Wii u they can't give that answer.
On personal level Wii u sucks, and I hope that Mario,Donkey Kong, and Zelda come to Xbox2 as launch titles.
BTW I have never played Zelda.lol
The WiiU is too complicated for the casual gamer, and too simple for the hardcore gamer leaving them with nothing much but their core constituency to market the thing to.

How fortunate the 95% of gamers that don't frequent game forums or read game publications, and how tormented the 5% that do!

Does anybody remember the problems with Xbox live on the 360 when most people learned about what NAT was.It ain't always been rainbows and hand grenades.

Best Buy Employee Confirms Initial Xbox One Launch Editions Not Sold Out (Union Square NY)

...it was confirmed that the initial Xbox Day One launch editions from the launch day event at the Best Buy theater in Union Square New York has not sold out. On a call with a Best Buy employee it was confirmed that they are not sold out but have a low quantity of the system available. When asked about the amount currently in stock, the employee wasn’t able to divulge the information, but said that there was some in stock. The system which retails for $499.99 has launched and has been achieving worldwide success. The console received an 8 out of 10 from us. The Xbox One sold over 1 Million consoles in its first 24hrs.

Get in on them guys, if you haven't purchased one yet.

I'm trying to get people consoles if they want to buy, there are shortages no?

I don't really care what the quality of their writing is like.

I was thinking more in terms of... Now this is in construction, not consumer electronics, but Best Buy has an inventory system? Right? So I can go into Lowes, talk to my seller there, and he can look in his inventory system and find me the location and quantity of any product that Lowes sells anywhere in the US. But this particular un-named Best Buy employee can't simply walk up to one of those many inventory Kiosks that BB has in their store and do the same thing.

But you are right, I was being prickly, my apologies.

Question. Is there a way to select games to download to my Xbox One through the Xbox.com website? We were able to do that with 360.

If you can get them at Best Buy, you sure can't get them from ordering online. Just went to the BB website and all Day One editions are sold out. They do have "Shop Now" under the bundles, but once you click on them, it tells you that it is sold out. So much for that unnamed employee from BB trying to start a rumor unless he knows something that his own company doesn't know, LOL!

Just like they fixed Windows 8 so fast? Its still crap, they think that party, achievements are ok just the way they are. I used to alwaysbe in a party but with xbox one I'm finding myself socialy isolated, don't receive notifications of friends online, party chat terrible, can't easily compare achievements etc etc. People who made xbox UI have never used xbox 360! Everything what made xbox 360 the best is actually wayyy behind xbox 360 levels. Why do I need to wait for my achievements to load? I'm accessing them on local machine. Why give me annoying friends feed but think that friends online notification would be overwhelming? Why hide my friends behind many clicks and when you invite them into party even more clicks? This used to take two click on xbox 360, now its 6.
Again this sort of backs up my points of nitpicking, they're personal preference or 'small issues' not nearly as big as the media are making them out to be, a lot of the so called issues boil down to personal preference or very small nags such as friends notifications when they're online (lets remember all new launches have bugs/work to be done on) and I'm sure it'll be fixed sooner than any of the Windows 8 issues, MS know they're already behind the competition in the form of sales, if the OS is having as many 'issues' as people make out then they can't afford to rest on their morals. Unlike Windows 8 where there's smaller competition in that department which they dominate.
