Where is he getting his numbers? what official channels does he have access to? that's a much larger percentage than the guy who's tweet I was responding to which put it at 1% and either way these aren't their entire allotments before launch this is just all they have available in the first wave. People keep forgetting the stores jumped the gun yesterday not Sony, they'll all have more of both models up for pre-order before launch, Ryan already said they'll have more consoles available at launch than they did for PS4. Just something anecdotal by my local gamestop only had between 15-30 available for pre-order on the day they started but by the time the launch came around they had about 300 pre-ordered and picked up on launch day so assuming anything off of one day of incomplete information is silly.
That's spin.I know some people are mad that PS5 1st party games are going up in price, I just want to remind those of you who are in my age range that we paid just as much if not more for N64 games in the 1990's, they had nowhere near the production values, quality gameplay or length yet we paid it without much complaint because we wanted to play those games, now we get movie quality stories, great looking and playing games for what we paid 25 years ago, it just seems like an odd thing to be mad about.
Retrovolve – N64 Games Were Ridiculously Expensive When They First Came Out
GamePro magazine assists us in digging up MSRP information for various N64 games.retrovolve.com
Thats a parody account
Is it? So we still have to pay for it??
Your new avatar here is a lot less scary than your graduation photo you had before.
This type of stuff is why Sony didn't pick you.
....Or maybe the majority just prefer physical over digital and thus based on those figures were more physical SKUs manufactured over the digital edition. Why do I say that? The PS4 didn't have a digital SKU nor did the PS3. So to assume that that market is completely ready for an all digital SKU at the same rate as a physical would could mean fewer sales.
From my position, i can tell you that although the digital SKU is cheaper, Internet connections are not reliable enough to the point where i feel like I can trust them 100%.
People are mad because publishers are making more money than ever
Where I live, I never paid more than $60 for N64 games. Most were $50. I remember seeing magazines and catalogs where some were priced $90, but why would anyone buy from some obscure place when stores were way cheaper.
True, they just release a "new " game instead of doing DLC to get them dolares (spiderman MM).Sony isn't doing games full of microtransactions and post paid content
Sony isn't doing games full of microtransactions and post paid content, that's where most of that extra money publishers are getting is coming from. I'm not saying they won't ever do those things but they do make mostly single player story driven games and it's hard to work in backend monetization except for expansions and those aren't cheap to make.
Sony is also making more money than ever and they have multiple subscription services

And their costs are no doubt going up as well.
I took the relevant part, no?I like how you left off the portion of the post you responded to where I talked about expansions....why would you do that as a response?
