It’s been 87 years....well gonna be two lol but I know some others here wentLooks like it'll be digital this year. 10 years since I last went.
I think one of, if not, the biggest part of e3 was the networking. Gaming and the gaming media is still pretty small when compared to other entertainment events. I guess the closest thing this may be compared to is a film festival.I think that physical E3 is important because you get to actually play the games... however, I just don't see it going back to normal at this point.
That said, with everything going digital, I have to actually question what's the actual point of the E3 branding? Can't developers just release timed videos and demos on their own? I can honestly say that I think that E3's time may have come and gone. I think that maybe I no longer actually care. The social aspect of these events are pretty cool, but I can see more Xbox FanFest and similar PlayStation fan events being separate experiences in the future, going forward.
You are correct, and E3 used to be industry-only. Honestly, I've been to one of those way back when, and it was a lot more fun and relaxed than the overblown sh!t-sandwich, free-for-all they turned it into by the last time I went.I think one of, if not, the biggest part of e3 was the networking. It would be amazing to have access to these demos on XBL. I can't believe it hasn't happened yet. Talk about missed opportunities. Let us play the demos and see the trailers.I think that physical E3 is important because you get to actually play the games... however, I just don't see it going back to normal at this point.

Early access demos might be a good use of xCloud, IMO. Developers could also take in feedback. It would be amazing to have access to these demos on XBL. I can't believe it hasn't happened yet. Talk about missed opportunities. Let us play the demos and see the trailers.
Epic/Apple leak suggest a great E3 for Xbox
3rd party exclusives is not all that awesome.
MS and Sony need to stop that crap, focus finances on your own things and stop keeping people from playing games they otherwise would have gotten to play.3rd party exclusives is not all that awesome.
