We're most likely headed for another couple weeks of lockdown so I will give this another go and try finish it, how long can the base game take? I think I got up to the first part where you go through all the machinery.
These new pics of Aloy look great.
Now they just need to make her look young again and we are good. Aside from that, this model is an improvement to say the least.
I don't remember. But I know the sequel takes place 6 months after the events of the first game. She looks like a young adult in her mid twenties, how old is she supposed to be

Speaking in a Horizon Zero Dawn interview with GamesRadar, narrative director Ben McCaw stated that "the vast, vast majority of the game takes place in the Forbidden West", alluding to the potential of small sections of the game not taking place there.
Aloy has spent the six months in between games trying to find a cure for the Red Blight that is a sign the planet's biosphere is malfunctioning. She's now traveled to the Forbidden West to join her allies - including best boy Erend - for the next stage of her plan.
So this “second plague”, delta variant?

UPDATE: Pre-order Horizon Forbidden West now: Collector’s and Digital Deluxe Editions detailed
All pre-order details for this awe-inspiring continuation of Aloy’s journey, coming February 18 2022.blog.playstation.com
I can see making it so the more expensive versions are the ones that come with "free" upgrades because PS5 games cost more but not allowing people who buy the base version of the game to upgrade by paying $10 is a dickhead move and they should be called out for it, especially with PS5's still being so hard to find. If I had a PS4 but was trying to get a PS5 I wouldn't pre-order this game until I was sure which console I would be playing it on in February. They really should have included the PS4 edition with the PS5 or at least do an upgrade path from PS4 to PS5.

Why? They are built on PC with the assets already. They port down to PS4/PS5.PS5 games cost more
Its not just this game though. Sony has poorly handled almost every cross-gen game to come out. Gamers (myself included) have downloaded two versions of a game because of how confusing it was on PSN. Gamers having to download the last gen version of a game just to transfer over their old save file, this seems to be fixed with FF7 Remake and Ghost of Tsushima if you have Cloud Saves enabled. And now Sony is on course to throw away all the consumer goodwill they earned by being super greedy. I just don't get it. And the crazy thing is, if rumors and stories are to be believed this is all coming from Sony North America who has been put in charge of Playstation affairs.Until cross-gen games stop being made this is going to be an issue for Sony, they need to make it as easy as possible for people to pay the $10 to upgrade. I am totally fine with next gen games being $10 more that doesn't bother me a bit it's the overly complicated way a game like HFW is being handled that bugs me.
So, I’m, anyone else reserved it too
When I bought physical games I always pre-ordered but now that I've gone all digital I often times wait until the day before they start pre loading, there is no real rush now.I've never felt compelled to pre-order a game more than a week or 2 in advance of it's release, doubt that'll change with this game, but I'm gettin' it...
Needs colour balancing, lil too saturated
Is that an in game option to change her hair? If so, I like
