I did the same got the Blu Ray when it first released. Might have to get the 4K collection when I see it on sale.I did the same, but just upgraded to the new Mad Max 4K Anthology. Don't feel as bad about double dipping since I got all the other films in 4K as well.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022, Netflix) - Good
Absolutely brutal. Not really a scare movie. It’s more of the gore type of horror movie.
That early 2000’s remake Jessica Biel was so hawt! Enjoyed that movie. That prequel that came out afterwards was pretty cool too with R Lee Ermey.I watched this last night. It's definitely one of the better sequels / reboots in the franchise, which admittedly is not a high bar. Apparently it was intended to be shown in theaters, so it's production values are considerably higher than you'd normally expect from Netflix. I guess the response to initial screenings was so bad that they decided to sell it to Netflix. Seems to be super divisive for horror fans, reviews are all over the place on my Letterboxd feed. It was a mixed bag for me. Some poorly executed and laugh out loud moments mixed with extremely entertaining and well shot moments.
My biggest personal annoyance, when the movie has Texas in the title, maybe don't feature mountains and rolling hills as scenery in the first few minutes.
There's a nice after credits scene.
This is how it should be. I'm not watching this movie seriously, I'm here to pick it apart and laugh at how dumb this s*** is. Wanna see it, but also won't pay for it lolMoonfall... Lol. No seriously there was one scene at towards the end I started laughing and couldn't stop. Pretty sure the people behind me were the same. Like it just goes off the rails. But if you like Emmerich's disaster movies have at it.
...there are rolling hills in Texas though. Texas isn't all flat lol.My biggest personal annoyance, when the movie has Texas in the title, maybe don't feature mountains and rolling hills as scenery in the first few minutes.
Yea it was $5 Tuesday so not bad. Although ended up being $15 total including small popcorn and soda so..This is how it should be. I'm not watching this movie seriously, I'm here to pick it apart and laugh at how dumb this s*** is. Wanna see it, but also won't pay for it lol

(I haven't seen the movie)
Ah okay. Yeah that makes more sense lolI lived in Texas for several years, there's absolutely no part of the state that looks like the scenes in the first several minutes of the movie. They filmed in Bulgaria.
Worth it. If I had the time I'd see this on a cheap movie night. Will probably need to wait for streamingYea it was $5 Tuesday so not bad. Although ended up being $15 total including small popcorn and soda so..
Dumb, tick. Disaster, tick.I’m looking forward to watching Moonfall at home. I love dumb fun disaster movies.
