What movies have you seen recently?

Finally saw X-Men Apocalypse. Once again, I find myself thinking the live action X-Men have become very underrated. Really ended up enjoying this in particular. Thinking back, there was controversy about how Apocalypse looked in the film, but his portrayal is really good. If I had any complaints, it'd be the bit where Xavier tries to beat Apocalypse telepathically, they show him getting in some punches, but then immediately gets crushed. Just seems a bit silly. Perhaps if they portrayed it as Xavier taking a risk instead of being super cocky, knowing he can't win by himself, then it might have come across better. I also am not a fan of Jean just going Phoenix right away. I know it's dormant power, and she's capable, but they never really show a scene where she shows that level of potential. I did like how they established her relationship with Wolverine so early, and show how much of a caring individual she is. It also seems pointless to have killed off Angel when everyone else survived.

All in all, good movie. Gonna watch Dark Phoenix next.

If you watched it and don't know... I don't know what to tell you.

A simple google nets all types of things, including a 97% woke on it's meter.
LOL. So you didn't watch. Just based your review on some dumb site.

I watched it and other than one seemingly random thing it was about as woke as an 80's action flick.

Huh? I did watch it hence me saying it's woke and no 80's movies aren't this woke.

I rewatched 2010: The Year We Make Contact. I really like this movie it’s up there with the other good space films of the 80’s. It’s on Netflix. I wonder will we ever get a 2nd sequel to 2001 A Space Odyssey. I believe there was a third book.

The new Road house is fine, nothing special in terms of movie making, but the original wasn't either (I do love it though, nostalgia and all).
It was a few weeks since I watched it... but I can't remember anything "woke" about it... there was a black woman? I'm not an amerikan, but to my knowledge, there's quite a few of them in the 2020s, so that seems historically accurate.
Can't remember any forced homosexuality and I don't think there was any non binary preaching either.
I don't have any friends of afrikan descent (I don't live in amerika, so that's not very strange), but I do have dozens of middle eastern and eastern European friends since we had a lot of migration from those parts when I grew up. And I do have a few homosexual male and female friends and relatives... nothing that have ever bothered me or made me think any different about them compared to anyone else. To have western (amerikan) media force the idea that I need to accept a select few races and sexual orientations in just about every thing for their own profit, when I've never thought or said otherwise is getting stale though.

That said, not every thing is "woke", and in this case I think Val's bitterness towards his, I presume, lot in life is what triggered this illogical outburst.

From this post we can see who didn't actually watch the whole movie.

I'm not alone with noticing the dumb s*** they did to the movie.
Google it. I did after watching with much convos on it.

Still can't wrap my head around the fact that amerika are debating and choosing between a narcissistic psychopath and an old man with severe dementia to run their country. More mind boggling than me watching;
"Damsel" - what a pos movie lol

You are the problem in this country and don’t deserve this forum. It’s hilarious you waste your time here knowing everyone hates Trump and all the MAGA’s like you. I know why you’re here because you are a trolling 🤡
"you are a trolling"
English please.

I don't know or care who likes or hates trump.
He will win the election. Everyone who's being honest knows this. Let that truth sink in.

The problem with this country is the flood of people like you who don't respect things already in affect like freedom of speech.
