Yeah I'm definitely worried about jumping into something even worse. One thing where I am is they have realistic time expectations which is pretty rare in IT.
I'm also not seeing these amazing jobs. Either the salary is a low ball (maybe just a starting point) or it isn't mentioned at all. A lot of jobs are "requires 7+ years experience in the exact custom software package that only we use" kind of nonsense. Basically, you want the person who just quit back.

My big thing is I've probably got 15+ years left and that number scares me.

I'm so f***ing tired of working for other people doing bulls*** that doesn't contribute to my personal development at all. Ugh.

Quit my job and the new place is kind of a clusterfvck, but admitedly looks like the money really is here.

Also, things are weird because we're supporting a new warehouse that isn't finished yet. I hope at that point things drastically improve.

Otherwise, getting other glimpses into the Supply Chain world and keeping grocerie stores stocked is insane.
Legit unsung heroes. It's a modern day miracle these grocery stores are mostly stocked.

Since I don't ever want to be on a school's WIFI when using my phone, I decided to go back to Verizon after struggling with a T-Mobile subcarrier, Optimum Mobile. It sucks. They give a $500 gift card for bringing your device so it even works out less for one year than Optimum.

Geez i got a call that I'm meeting another person at this store. I'm like "So, what's up?". He's meeting me for training.

I just been doing this 1 week and I'm training. 🤷‍♂️
It's sad how common that is, it also makes me worry about an employer when that is their regular way of doing things.

Parents that doesn't control their kids in public spaces deserves to be slapped in the face by Jada's bitch.
I used to live in LA county and yeah kids could be a problem sometimes but usually parents would attempt at some point to shut them up. Here in Orange County CA the parents and the kids are so entitled it's crazy, so many people bring their dogs into our store which is something nobody did in the LA area unless it was a petco or something. I work in a retail pharmacy and people bring their dogs in all the time, they bring food in, someone put a half eaten ice cream cone on a shelf the other day and left it for us to clean lol. Every kid that comes in seems to have an electric bike and want to park it in our store blocking one of our exits.

I went into a Costco the other day which is a warehouse store (not sure if they have them where you are) and they are full of people who have big shopping carts and half the time aren't watching where they are going and a woman had her French bulldog walking around with her in there, I wanted to slap her and take the dog away lol.

This is actually good to know? But still hate tipping for food delivery so probably will never use lol.

When does your program start? How many credits is it?
Starts June 1. I forgot how many credits. Grub will come in handy when I don’t have time to cook because of studying.

Oh sure I understand that aspect of it, I'm just saying even though I also have Prime Student unless I'm drunk there's almost a 0% chance I'm getting something delivered lol.

Good luck with school man, as an also 30 something it's not easy going back but it'll pay off. You working full time too?

Will be working as a sub during the time until I have to student teach. Will have two months off this summer as well. I’ll file for unemployment!

The last time it snowed really heavily here ( around February) I was at a Walmart grocery store and this lady was riding one of those electric scooters that they have in the store for people to use. But anyway, this lazy ass tried driving the scooter to her car through several inches of snow. She obviously got stuck. So she had to get off of her hover round and help her husband push the damn thing to their vehicle.

I saw all this while I was walking in while they were leaving. The store greeter was just shaking his head in disbelief. And we both had a good laugh.
