To me that sounds like confirmation that these 1000 planets are essentially just filler and not really worth bothering with.

Well we knew some would be used like that, but it won't be many.
Pho sho, I wonder if some planets will have rare materials in which you don’t know it has until you have some sort of detector which will then be upgraded able to find even rarer Pokémon material.

Is this strictly sp or would people be open to maybe drop in multiplayer and or co-op? Maybe in a patch, or later release Starfield Online?

But are you really going to go to a thousand planets just for materials? Sounds tedious and boring.

I'd be open to co-op and maybe a dog fighting in space multiplayer mode, but is strictly SP as far as I'm aware.

To the former, yee, but I dono I doubt it’ll just be for materials, just throwing said idea out there as an example.

Oh hell yeah, would be dope to see craft from other universes from games like halo or um flight simulator colabs with others like Star Wars or avatar/aliens

But that is the fear right now, that these 1000 planets are essentially just empty of worthwhile content, and those Todd Howard comments kind of lean towards that fear being correct. Every single planet needs to be teaming with decent content, and since Todd like to shout how they are long time users of procedural content, it really shouldn't be hard for them. Missions, relics, weapons, structures, planet lore, etc can all be done procedurally and give weight and reason to visit any or all of the planets. But again, Todd's comments sound like they haven't done that.

I was going to try and build me a Battlestar Galactica, but yeah, it opens up the possibilities for added content.

Dunno. If Im not feeling a game or it doesn't vibe with me, I usually don't touch it or post how I much it doesn't gel with me. There's plenty of games out there I'd rather play. It was just an observation. Your post was filled with heavy contradictions.

I wasn't looking forward to that TMNT game releasing today. I downloaded it and played the first 2 stages. I confirmed that it wasn't worth buying, much less being excited for. It was basically free, so why not? You must miss out on A LOT of games if you don't at least give something a chance after having negative first impressions.

I don't know if you noticed it but at the very beginning of the demonstration when the ship was landing they used a camera angle that BSG used a lot, I wonder if that was a nod to the show? It's not an angle you see in most other sci fi shows but it's as if the camera is attached to the side of the ship and all you see is just that tight side shot almost like an over the shoulder shot in a 3rd person shooter.

Yeah I think we shouldn't get it this game. It's going to be way to big.

Man that dudes an insufferable tool, pretty much every game gets downgraded from their initial reveal.
