Hey, nice deal, thanks for pointing it out. I'll definitely check out a few of those, at that price. Braid, Red Faction, Retro City Rampage, Sam & Max...probably some others, too.

incredible sale, I had been saying they need to get some PS1 titles on a 1 dollar sale. And it just happens to be 3 games I really wanted, and was waiting for for this exact kind of sale. Almost bought them 5 different occasions.
I don't have any room on my ps3 for a lot of this.

I am for sure buying these..
  • Crash Bandicoot
  • Crash Bandicoot 2
  • Crash Bandicoot 3: WARPED
  • Gex: Enter the Geko
  • Plants vs Zombies
  • Red Faction
  • Spyro: The Dragon
  • Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage
  • Spyro: Year of the Dragon
  • Stuntman: Ignition
  • Tokyo Jungle
I wanted to ask about a few of these games, and I'll try to make my questions fast, and I hope to get a few fast repsonses if you guys know.. since the sale ends soon.'

I would strongly suggest stuntman, red faction 1 (this one is incredible) but part 2 is very very bad...

Someone give me some ideas suggestions about some of the following. (if I don't end up buying everything anyways)

Braid- not sure if I'd play it or not. Played the demo a long time ago. Obviously price isn't a factor for any of these but..... time and want is a factor. The want to play
  • Back to the Future: The Game - Full Series not sure about this at all? any input?
  • Blast Factor- again, not sure... the demo seemed ok... not great
  • Crash Commando ?? does it have co op? I see the description says it's an over the top shooter which is usually fine for me
  • echochrome ii Worth the time? may get it
  • Everyday Shooter again not sure on this one
  • Gotham City Impostors, no idea what this one is to some extent? Does it have local co op?
  • Jurassic Park: The Game - Like the first movie, what kind of game is this?
  • Plants vs Zombies- may not like it but will get this probably
  • Red Faction 2- not sure if i can pull the trigger on it... sort of hated it
  • Red Faction: Battlegrounds- What is this like?
  • Retro City Rampage (PS3 and PS Vita) Looks ok from the screens but still not sure?
  • Retro/Grade played the demo of this, not sure if i liked it at all or got it...
  • Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse no idea, ? worth a try for me? Never tried these
  • Tales of Monkey Island Same as above
  • Urban Trial Freestyle (PS3 and PS Vita) Is this any good... looks bad.
  • When Vikings Attack (PS3 and PS Vita) what style of game is this one?
  • World Gone Sour same as above, looks ok on screens
well, if any of you have played some of the above would like to hear your input, as I'm sure others would as well. Not really looking for any one person to answer all of these obviously ha.

I was watching the gameplay of Tokyo Jungle on youtube. I think this is the weirdest game I've ever seen. But interesting at the same time, [laughs]. Is it, basically, RPG in some ways? I might have to read couple of reviews to see what this is really about.

This is one of the games I wanted to buy in the past. It's a typical japanese game, I don't think it has rpg elements just quirky and fun. It's a must buy at 3 to 5 dollars for me, so a very obvious buy at .99

I strongly suggest Red Faction for PS2, it is deus ex like game in some design aspects of its levels. It is by far the best red faction made as well imo. It's more like Half Life than any other games too. Has that general feel and level design to it. You can really get into it if you like that kind of inside building style. Play it.

Wish they had all the Gex games, also wish they would do sales on neo geo, turbo games.. those are way over priced. A classic game sale would be nice, or sega. I want the dreamcast games but not at the high prices lol.

Here are the ones I'm picking up:

  • Jurassic Park
  • Sam & Max: Devil's Playground
  • Stuntman: Ignition
  • Tales from Monkey Island

Three of those are Telltale point-and-click adventure games.

For $1, why not.

If you like FPS, and if you haven't played it. (especialy if you like the slight old school feel) red faction 1 is a must play (even though ps2 games look horrible on hdtvs imo)

Stuntman is pretty fun but a good bit hard... still enjoy that. I think you may like Tokyo Jungle or do you have that. Seems most replys at gaf is for TJ. I'm probably also getting the telltale games.. not sure i'll play them all though, we'll see.

I've already played Red Faction. It was okay, though I don't remember much about it now. Long time ago.

I watched some videos of Tokyo Jungle. I don't think it appeals to me.

I have a feeling this won't be the only sale, I think there will be retail titles after this sale is over.

Crazy, but why is Crash 1 467MB while Crash 2 is 103mb and Crash 3 is 106. The games have so much more to them, open areas, better visuals. Naught Gods...

Will give a list of what I bought so far later but for those vita fans, i spotted this

This is beyond insulting to your Vita users. Europe and Japan has had Crash and Spyro on their Vitas for months, maybe even years, but us – the country they launched in? Nope. We may never even get them.

What’s the logic here? It’s too expensive to refile to get them out on the Vita store, but all the money lost from people buying these games for a sixth of the price (as opposed to all the Vita users who have been begging to pay full price) somehow won’t cost anything in comparison?

How the heck does that work?

We hear your feedback overseventhousand! I will pass it along to those who handle these things.

Not in the UK
I'd have got the Telltale games but they're still full price here, £60 in total for all three.

From the description I did buy world gone sour, even though I have no idea what it is. you are a candy that must find your way to someone's stomach. Bought it lol

Might have to get the Telltale ones. Got Back to the Future in a prior PS+ deal but haven't played it yet.

Just bought the games a while ago:

  • Braid
  • Crash Bandicoot 2
  • Crash Bandicoot 3: WARPED
  • Plants vs Zombies
  • Spyro: The Dragon
  • Plant VS Zombies

Holy crap! I forgot about retro city rampage. I did bought that too, lol. It does look good from what I've seen at youtube.

I ended up getting all 4 Telltale games (BttF, JP, MI, and SaM). Started Back to the Future. It's not bad so far. The action isn't exactly challenging, but the story is decent, and I laughed a few times. There was a glitch or two, but for $1, I'm not complaining.

I have most of these games except about 3.

What I can say about the games I tried that I didn't have and a few words about other titles

urban trial- not sure if this is as good or as bad as I thought it would be. It is ok for a dollar but I feel ilke I'd rather just be playing trials because the physics in trials is a lot better. Seems "ok" for a dollar and if your burnt out on trials maybe its ok for you

Everyday shooter- it seems good enough, a light geometry wars I guess. I don't really love these style of games, so if you do. It may be more for you. mostly has a slight edgy rock or acoustic soundtrack to it.

World gone sour- seems to have co op, haven't actually tried it yet but the start has player 2. Good for those of you who play co op at home (good for me) Didn't play much, seems like a very simple platformer. Hope there is something interesting through out the game, but no idea currently. Almost seems a little like a pikmin platformer slightly, you have other candies with you to grow, throw. Game looks like a ps2 HD game, jumping mechanics and "enemies" could be a little better. But actually kind of liking this one, even more than some of the higher profile 2d platformers. I like the big world idea with being a small candy as well.

Crash series- for any of you that love those run and jump phone games, this is pretty much that, only much much better IMO. The games still hold up quite well and it has some decent difficulty. Collectibles and things to 100%. Still like them quite a bit.

Decided to bite the bullet and bought three more games (last minute decision):
  • Stuntman: Ignition
  • Urban Trial Freestyle
  • Gex: Enter the Geko
I seriously hope we'll see more of $1 games in the future! That's a HUGE saving right there!

Going to say you guys should buy the urban game, it started off bad, but the levels and destruction in them sort of made it a little more fun to me. It compliements trials well. After playing it more, I'd say its a must at 1.
really enjoying these city rooftop levels in this game. D

I agree smurf, I'd love to see 30 ps1 games for 1 dollar. A sega list of 2 to 5 dollars would be fine too , or 1 dollar dreamcast games and so on!
