I'll be at the Xbox briefing and post-show thing. Skipping the other press briefings, then will attend E3 every day. My focus this time around will be to play as many of the big titles as I can (isn't that the goal every year?) and will get impressions from random people as well.

Folks seem to like off-screen video (I have no idea why) of demos, so I'll shoot some of that, in addition to photos. I'm still deciding whether to do booth tours with my GoPro. The lighting will probably be too low for any decent footage, but I suppose it won't hurt to try.

Let me know if you have any specific games you'd like me to try out and I'll do my best to check them out and get some off-screen video footage.

Shaky cam footage at anything other than 1080p @ 60fps is a fail !!!

But seriously....how about gameplay videos of anything new that isn't a sequel. Pretty much know what the rest is going to play like anyway.

Enjoy!

Oh, and any pics of Morgan Webb from e3 would be cool too :)

Awesome! Can't wait to see what you post. If you don't mind me asking, what is it that you do that allows you to go to E3?

Lucky you!! I've always wanted to go to E3 one day! I bet it costs a lot, isn't it? :(

If you can get video of Dragon Age: Inquisition, Hyrule Warriors and Destiny that would be great.

OK, I'll have to just do a write-up and post some pics at the end of each day since it's not feasible for me to do any real sharing via my iPhone. I'll work on some pics from the MS briefing today and talk about Microsoft's VIP treatment of Xbox fans today.

A few pics from the briefing: https://www.flickr.com/photos/aceattorney/sets/72157645092043172/

Yesterday, Microsoft held a lottery at a Los Angeles Microsoft Store to give out 100 free passes to the briefing. Each of the winners were given the royal treatment, starting with a nice breakfast, a private introduction, green carpet audience access, VIP floor seating during the briefing, post-briefing Q&A, lunch, and swag. Oh, and each person was given a floor pass to the E3 expo. I was fortunate enough to be invited along with the lucky winners due to my status as an Xbox MVP.

I have never seen Microsoft do anything like this. That is, to treat regular common fans better than the celebrities and media that attend the briefing. It was quite interesting, to say the least. I've had the pleasure of being a part of the MVP program for quite a while now, and have enjoyed a great relationship with Microsoft through all of these years. But it bears repeating: I have never seen Microsoft treat anyone that is not elite media or a celebrity in this fashion.

The Xbox fans were treated with the utmost respect, and more importantly, with gratitude. Microsoft's message was hear loud and clear: "We need your help."

Gone were the walls that kept the executives away from the common public. Gone were the restrictions on what regular gamers were allowed to see. Gone was the preferential treatment of A-listers. What I saw today was a humble Microsoft. That prevailing attitude punched out from every executive that met with the fans. They came with beaming smiles, handshakes, and listening ears. They weren't demeaning or belittling. They recognized that in fact, their consumers are their most valuable people.

It was staggering to see, to be truthful, and I hope this approach continues. Indeed, with the many recent changes made to the Xbox One, it's quite evident that Microsoft cares about its consumers. And feedback.xbox.com shows that they want to know what the fans want to see them do next.

This E3 is incredibly important to Microsoft, and they kicked it off with fan-service that went beyond anyone's expectations.

If you see Wiseguy tell that pr1ck we miss him.

Haha, I'm lurking. But I won't be at E3 for a while. Just had our second baby Son 3 weeks ago so it's keeping me close to home.

Nice pics, Ace. Glad you're enjoying so far and I'm glad to hear that MS is trying to reach out to their fans again, it's about time.

Today's half-day was more to get an idea of what I want to spend more time on.

Quick info:

Ubisoft: Rainbow Six is playable only to VIPs. The Division is not playable. Far Cry is playable to all. AC Unity may not be playable, not sure.

EA: No Star Wars. All sports titles are playable to all and look amazing, and I will be buying all of them (I've never purchased Madden or FIFA before). Hardline honestly looks like a BF4 skin. Demo stations are 16 v. 16, but final max number of players has not been announced.

Xbox: Evolve, Sunset Overdrive (reminds me of Gears meets Jet Set), and Forza Horizon 2 are the biggest playable games there. There are a slew of other titles as well (I played Alien Isolation and literally jumped and yelped), including a bunch of the ID@Xbox games. Sadly, no Cuphead though. Behind closed doors include Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Unsurprisingly, no Crackdown at all.

Sony: Destiny, Little Big Planet, The Order 1886, and Driveclub are the big playable titles. Like Xbox, they have a lot of indie games playable.

Nintendo: Hyrule Warriors and Super Smash Bros. are the two big titles. Lots of excited folks at Nintendo (a far cry from recent uninspired years).

I didn't get a chance to look over Warner Bros. yet, but am looking forward to seeing Arkham Knight.

I didn't take any pics, but did shoot a few minutes of gopro footage. Will edit and upload in a bit.

PS, Congrats, @Wiseguy

Ace,

Not sure itf it's there in playable form, but if it is can you take a look or test of NHL 15? I'm curious to it's frame rate as the first NHL game on a new console is always flakey.

Hey,congrats man! Wouldn't be E3 without you and Acey covering the event. Shame Spaceghost stopped going to the show.

I played it. It's being targeted for 60fps. The E3 build doesn't seem to hit that, and there are some graphical glitches, but they are still working on it, despite it being "a month away." (I guess they only have a month left in development since release is September).

Spaceghost is at E3 this year.

OK, my internet dropped last night so this didn't upload until this morning. I guess the footage turned out alright. I'm thinking of doing more of this today and not taking photos. What do you all think?

Nice, thanks for the video. Looks cool.

Can you give us more feedback if you have played The Order, Destiny, and Drive Club?
