Why not? There's already been a multitude of military action movies with a similar spirit to CoD. Whether they choose to just use the name for an original screenplay, or try to adapt one of the games remains to be seen, but good or bad, a CoD movie could end up being super successful.
 
I can see it now. Call of Duty directed by Michael Bay....

Joking aside this has me interested. Their properties in the right hands could make some entertaining films and shows.
