Amazon Pre-order BOGO 11/10 - 11/16

I'm kind of glad I didn't get in on this (not really). I'd like to initially focus on just a couple games and not a handful. :(
 
I pulled it. The trigger.

Money comes and goes anyway. At first i was just curious at what type of discount the promotion code would give me. I added two games in my cart (BF4 and AC:BF) and goddamn....60 Bucks slashed off.

So ill have four games to keep me busy: CoD: Ghosts, Killzone: Shadowfall, BF4 and AC:BF.

This would definitely be the smart thing to do. I feel terrible selling back all these present gen games from my backlog I never even played a second of, or only played the first chapter of. Most all of them were great games too, and many were gifts, which somehow makes me feel worse for trading them in without playing. Looks like I'm going to be starting the next gen with an immediate backlog though. :laugh:

Ok, sorry to be a pain but what do you mean by this phrase? for example the local Target keeps these card's in the gaming/electronics section? do you mean pick one up and take it to the front and self checkout?

also 4 separate transactions Ie: 1 at a time? complete the first transaction in 'full' and so on? and do these coupons print on the back of receipt?

I assume people just get refunds on the pre orders once said coupon has printed.

Edit: Sorted and it worked with 2 pre-order card's at a dollar each. It's a bit different to those I've seen on the internet says 30% off when you buy two games, there's no mention of the buy 2 get 1 free deal and it valid until the end of December. I might just use it for the Xbox One 2 games would equal $85 including the 5% off with the Red Card.

Depends on the Target, some were getting it with a few cards bought, some with 4. And yes, you can refund them after you get the coupon. The fronts registers of the store are usually the only ones with the printers, that's what I meant.

Yes, just use the 30% coupon with the current B2G1 deal. It'll stack. Instead of $120 plus tax for 3 games, it'll be around $90 out the door. You can get PS4 games now and presumably trade them for Xbox One games when they release. Or sell them and make some money.

I was thinking just go with the initial 2 for 1 deal on the Playstation and get a couple of Xbox One games with the coupon but honestly nothing on the One interests me. Target star selling all launch games on the PS4 tomorrow morning I believe, they only had Killzone but I want NBA 2K14 and Fifa 14 with it.

I would call a few Target locations and ask when thery're getting those other games in. My local target had COD, 2K14, Killzone and Knack (sold out) but no Fifa yet.
Or maybe you can order from Amazon as a backup in case deal falls through and you can't find the games you want?
 
Tomorrow morning I'm told so I will head in and get the games. I doubt they will sell out where I live It's small town, young families, kid's ext. The Target closest to me only had Shadowfall, Knack and COD Ghost's available.

I am thinking of doing the 30% trick again tomorrow with another couple of cards, that way when they do start bringing out the Xbox One games before release I can get 30% off straight from the get go.

Oh my god...

Well. I'm being charged full price now and there is not a goddamn thing i can do about it.

All i did was send an email to Amazon saying send my two games along with my PS4 on the 15th (Originally games were supposed to be dispatched sooner) So they duplicated an order and linked it to my PS4's order number and then managed to send the games out today anyway. WTF! And oh, they didn't even cancel the original order.

The best part is there is not a single damn thing i can do to get them to fix this. I tried...You get transferred to people who barely speak any English. Really, Amazon?!. But oh the real idiots are behind the inboxes though, they understand NOTHING.

Basically somebody at Amazon f*cked my order up and now i have to pay 130 Bucks instead of 65. Goddamn i feel so sh!tty right now.
 
I was tempted by AC, but AC so boring. Pirates are cool though. I wasn't sure what to do. I went with Knack.
 
Update: The additional 30% off coupon doesn't work with the BOGO free deal as per the terms and conditions on the back of the coupon: 'You can only use the coupon when buying games outside of a promotion and or special offer' but lucky for me the lady gave me an additional $10 off for the inconvenience so I paid $110 (inc tax) for Fifa 14, Killzone and as much as I hated Battlefield on the Xbox 360 I got it for the PS4 as my 'free game' with all the talk of the new engine, next to pc graphics, 64 players online ext I thought why not.

Initially I wanted NBA 2k14 as my free game but I now have 30% off a couple of games for the Xbox One so I might just get it on the One instead.

So i originally did the Amazon offer but when NBA 2K14 was out of stock i decided to head to target and see what they had. I ended up getting NBA 2K14, Killzone and Knack. I am still iffy on Knack but i haven't seen anything on Madden yet and they didn't have Injustice in yet.

In effect couldn't you have gotten somebody else that you know to buy a couple of games for you at Target because you'd be entitled to another free game if I'm not mistaken (assuming you went for for buy 2 get 1 free deal).
 
I got six games from Target total. 2 copies each of 2K14, COD & Killzone. Exchanged one copy of 2K14 today for BF4. Got a code for the B1G1 from Amazon the other night and got ACIV today in the mail, also ordered another copy of 2K14 that'll I'll keep. I'll have bought 8 games total for next-gen for $240.

Going to trade 2-3 games for Xbox One games when they get them in stcok, keeping Killzone and possibly BF4 for PS4. Haven't decided if I'm playing BF4 on Xbone or PS4 yet. The other 2-3 games I'll sell for $50 a piece and recoup some money for doing all the work and give someone a good deal on some launch games. Win-win. If I sell three games for $50 and get $150 back, I'll have 5 games next-gen games for $90.

Good thing this deal came along cause last week I was thinking I might only get 1 game for each system, maybe 2, full price.
 
Good work. Did they let you walk in and just exchange a game for another? I'm thinking of doing that with Battlefield in exchange for 2k14 they didn't have it in today and I'm not one for Battlefield. When I asked the same question the guy behind the counter said you have to return all games and you cannot swap one for another. I thought he was talking out of his ass but I'm not about to waste time with a Target employee who seemed like he was on a power trip.

They did let me do an even exchange and since the deal is still live it shouldn't be an issue. I had to go to guest services to do the exchange. Woman who helped me also helped ring me up the other day and remembered me, she was nice (manager).

I feel I may go and pick up AC4, NFS, and COD. I feel this way because I have that console launch fever. It causes people to be fools with their money.

I have already paid off my BF4 PS3 to PS4 upgrade (plus Premium membership), Have received Killzone, AC, and COD from Amazon. Will be downloading Resogun and Flower on day one. Have Dead Rising 3 preorded for X1. Despite all of that, I went to Gamestop today and traded in most of my remaining present gen games and paid off Ryse and Forza.

Think I got that fever too. :banana:
