Amazon shipping early

I am not getting a PS4 this year, but thought I would share this with the folks that are
I have seen this in several places, but will post one link only

this person is getting theirs today, another has shipping for tomorrow

so heads up folks if you are using amazon

I had this preordered at Amazon and Best Buy. I canceled the Amazon one this weekend. I'm going to cry now.

After seeing this I immediately checked Amazon. No luck, Friday is still the day for me. My order says it was placed on 6/16.

Yea same here for both Amazon and Best Buy. I'm going with BB for my final place and hoping if they are short on consoles they'll go with preorder order and I'll be in. The page for the PS4 wasn't even completed when I ordered it so I should be good in that case.

My order status still says the 15th. I'm gonna have UPS hold it at their facility so I can pick it up at 8am Friday, as they usually deliver at 8pm in my area. Not gonna wait all damn day for it. Amazon isn't gonna break the street date.

How do you do this? Do you call UPS with the tracking number and ask them to hold it at your local facility?

No problem. I'm probably doing this as I don't want to take a day off of work and I also don't trust having it just left outside my apartment until I get home from work. I'll get it during my lunch break.

Mine too and ordered 6/10/13. My guess is I have a shipping center 20 min from my house and they can mail to tomorrow for Fri delivery.

And for UPS - no I have never signed for anything they drop on my porch and I've had a lot more expensive stuff than a PS4 waiting for me. To think someone could just follow a UPS truck around and grab things off porches is disconcerting. I think I'll hang out at home Friday.

I think that depends on how they're shipped. I've ordered expensive computer parts before from Amazon that shipped via UPS and they don't ask. Plus even if they did, I don't want to miss it and have to wait until the following Monday or so.

I ordered June 10th, too, and mine is still Not Yet Shipped. I have Prime and any game/movie I order with Release Date Delivery ships the day before release, so I expect to wake up to a shipped notification. If not, I will start freaking out.

Amazon usually ships "release day delivery" stuff on the same day it's delivered here. The morning of I'll get my shipping notice.

if they are sent through UPS, I have on UPS My choice that I don't want to sign. I have an exam at 10:30 the day my x1 comes out, and I'm basically planning on taking it and running home.
